Jamie Allen: New Contract to 2025

Unless we get promoted I can’t see Hamer being here. He wants to play at a higher level and I imagine there will be a few clubs interested especially now his discipline is so much better. if he was going to extend the likelihood is he would have done it by now, he signed the new deal at the...

    Musical tastes throughout your life

In the 70’s started with T.rex. By 74 it was Mott the Hoople, Genesis, Be Bop Deluxe, Thin Lizzy and Queen. They got heavily into Punk then further into AC/DC Metallica, Iron Maiden and dice then stayed loyal to most forms of heavy rock.

    Set Pieces

Thought for years we’ve been poor at free kicks, corners and especially throw ins. We often ask do they ever train at throw ins there so bad. What also amazes me is how many of our throw ins are foul throws the ref doesn’t call. The only time at throw ins recently we were any good was when...

    Top 5?

For me the best player I’ve seen this season is Dodwell from Norwich. At the CBS he ran the game from start to finish and scored a really good goal. At Norwich he came on as a sub coming back from injury again controlled the game and scored.

Still driving at 97 years old?

I’m in no doubt you are correct in that statement which is supported by the insurance industry in that premiums start to rise once you get to 80 and are most expensive for novice drivers. But it still doesn’t mean all 70+ year olds should be taken off the road just because of age.

Still driving at 97 years old?

So if the 8 million people aged 70 or over your opinion is based on 4 drivers. Hardly scientific is it. I go back to my original point there are shit drivers and good drivers at every age. The test should be based on competence not age. My Daughter in law is the same age as you and she’s a poor...

Still driving at 97 years old?

Think this proves my point entirely. Apparently the only good drivers are 32 year olds. How many 70 year olds have you actually got in a car with?

Still driving at 97 years old?

The thing is you ask any age group who are the worst drivers and it’s always an age that isn’t what they are. The reality is every age group has shit drivers. That’s the reason why you can’t say by a certain age people shouldn’t drive. It should be determined by taking another test, not like...

Still driving at 97 years old?

It’s not just their driving everyone should have to do a re test every 5 years.

    Season tickets

I imagine they would have different prices again for different parts of the ground like most teams in that league. Would have thought they would start around £450 up to £650. Forest only charge £385 for the cheapest and £550 for the most expensive. I would expect us to be closer to a Forest...

    Season tickets

They are significantly higher than ours. One of the reasons we sold some many this year is because they were relatively cheap in comparison to most clubs. Given the financial position and the club wanting to generate a bit more income I could see a 10% increase but any more 13k season tickets...

Have to disagree. Take his 2 penalties out he’s scored 3 in 1300 minutes. 1 goal every 7 hours is hardly good.

Robins again losing points not managing the game. It was so obvious we neede fresh legs at 75 minutes yet he again has his head in the sand. Godden was so poor 5 good chances missed the lot. If Walker had done that he would have been hung drawn and quartered.

    Fan Village?

Accept all of that I was pointing out potential reasons why the club may not have done it in the past. Also have to consider what “extra” it will bring in given most of the sales would have been from the concourse. Assuming it is the stadium owner who has now opened this they will take the...

    Fan Village?

Could be because they don’t own it. Would have to pay rent on it for each match have to pay for the license and staff and wouldn’t see much if any profit.

    Watford at it again

Why would she ever have sacked him then. At that stage he had managed us for about 11 games 1 of which we won at Wembley. Of the 10 we won 4. There was no way he was ever going to be sacked the damage had already been done.

I’m fairly sure his contact expires in June but there is a one year option in the club’s favour.
