    The March Thread

Touch FM were there as I got interviewed. Answering why are you here? with 'I live two minutes away' might not make it to air.

    The March Thread

I'm going, because it's nice out, I only have to walk down Swan Lane to get there and I heard there's ice cream

    Reda Johnson signs

Blimey, how has he scored so many goals? Is he a set-piece taker?

    Bunch of Hypocrites!

I preferred Highfield Road because it was so nearby, and I'm a very lazy person.

    Bunch of Hypocrites!

It's not hypocrisy to prefer Highfield Road and also want to be at the Ricoh. People know Highfield Road isn't there, and the Ricoh is. People would rather us play nearby in a stadium they don't really like than 35 miles away in another town, there's no dilemma or quandary to say that.

This could be best ever World Cup

Yeah, I thought Dempsey's first touch was awful too so it was lucky he did it in front of the world's second meekest defender (after me). Lovely finish though, and what a kit.

Why is Google USA not celebrating the World Cup

Back on the Doodle thing, they seem to actually be putting one out for each current game, this has just appeared for the England match:

Why is Google USA not celebrating the World Cup

You're thinking of Wikipedia rather than Google. Even then, it's 99% factual (I've made that number up) as anything that isn't on an obscure page is checked and cited by their team of nerds. It's right about soccer being a British word, awkwardly derived from association football. Looking at...

Why is Google USA not celebrating the World Cup

You can go directly to Google.com which is strait-laced and doesn't feature any of the daily doodles, it might be that.

Why is Google USA not celebrating the World Cup

Euros are run by UEFA, who I can only assume don't give themselves the slice of the pie that FIFA do. Any World Cup bid would still need improvements on facilities and infrastructure, they keep changing the criteria to allow themselves to award them to countries who can afford it. There are...

Why is Google USA not celebrating the World Cup

Not really. Google aren't the USA, a country whose league is constantly expanding at an encouraging rate. Hosting the World Cup isn't exactly the money-spinner it's made out to be either with FIFA suckling at the teat. http://www.google.com/doodles/world-cup-2014-1 Even then, their World Cup...

    England football song

Is it right that there's no official England song this year? They've wisely distanced themselves from that Gary Barlow thing.

    Rik Mayall Dies Aged 56

On the plus side, the obituaries on the news will be fantastic.

    Rik Mayall Dies Aged 56

I don't generally go for the whole 'RIP famous person' you get with some people, but it's different when it's someone who meant something. This sucks hard. He could make near enough anything watchable.

    England game

You've got to fancy a few cards being shown in Group E. Ecuador, Honduras and France who are never too far from imploding? Even Switzerland couldn't keep that much peace.

    England's World Cup squad.

I think Russia's just pipped us in not looking outside their borders, which is quite ironic.

Ian Rush and Mark Hughes are the main ones I can think of.
