Which of course is exactly what the council have done for Wasps with regard to building a hotel on car park c. Don’t think it’s unreasonable to expect similar treatment for the football club.

All depends if people are gullible enough to keep falling for ‘but SISU’. If they aren’t there will be more questions for the council to answer and they aren’t doing a very good job with that so far. Let’s not forget in a matter of days the council line has changed from there never being any...

Completely agree. What’s coming out of the council is inconsistent at best. They say they’ve ‘only’ had this yet have confirmed meetings have been taking place. Why are they having meetings then? And of course once again we see different criteria applied to Wasps. Did they submit a full...

You could fit both on the site, doesn't have to be one or the other. As has been shown in this thread you can fit a stadium in without touching the existing buildings the council want to bring back in to use.

Doing a bit of digging online it seems the school closed in July 2016. There was a suggestion to mothball it so it could be reopened as a school at a later date if the demand was there. That doesn't seem to have happened with the education minister describing it as 'very uneconomical'. Not much...

    Wasps current finances & hope

But on the Wasps forum they claim there can't be any issues at Wasps as they're about to move in to their new state of the art training ground :pompus:

I had a look last night and I can't find anywhere on the council website that shows cabinet approval. Can you point me in the right direction. Given the time the council have been claimed to be sat on this proposal from the club, something the council haven't denied, I sincerely hope they...

Could not agree with this more. Pressure should now be on the council to either clearly state why this is a non starter or to do a deal similar to the one they have with Wasps for car park C at the Ricoh. They have given Wasps an 18 month license there in which time they don't have to pay a...

Believe it is education and sporting so that wouldn't be an issue. It was Cllr Maton, when he was the council chair of planning, who first mentioned housing on that site.

They're building from the Windmill out aren't they. That might not be what is being referred to hear.

No haven't seen that. Can see there was a consolation that ended in December for a school and sports village but nothing since then on the council site. When was it approved? Of course reusing the existing buildings doesn't necessarily rule out other uses for the rest of the site. Keep saying...

A lot of what is being thrown around in this thread could apply to pretty much every stadium under construction. The new Tottenham Stadium, Wimbledon, Everton, Brentford, Luton etc. London Stadium is a nightmare to get away from, I got stuck there for nearly 2 hours. No doubt it will be...

On what specific points would it be blocked by the Highways agency and fall foul of planning regulations? People talk like every other ground is next to a motorway with parking for 50K cars. There's plenty of grounds, and venues for other events with huge numbers of spectators, that are in...

Everyone should be behind this. If you don't believe SISU will build a stadium then pressure on the council to move it forward and calls SISU's bluff. If you do believe SISU will build a stadium then pressure on the council to move it forward and get it built as quickly as possible...

Statement- EFL has written to its Member Clubs regarding the Sky Blues.

Its interesting that last time nobody wanted to and this time we seem to have a choice of a few grounds. What has been said to those clubs to make them think this time is any different?
