Were SISU offered the same deal as Wasps, Yes or No?

SISU having had an option for the club to buy back into the stadium that was built for the club....ultimately failed, they chose the wrong stratergy. They still seem to be sticking to it. They brought us here and seem to be leading us nowhere. we can all argue as much as we like but the...

    Doncaster Match Thread

Good to see SISU vision, success and leadership just permeates from every aspect of the club. Lead from the front, lead by example.

    Doncaster Match Thread

I dnt think you are right Nick. I think most felt he deserved a new contract, I think most wanted to try and establish some continuity. I don't think most people thought a 4 year contract was a good idea at all. I think most put that down to another barking made SISU management decision!

How many L1 managers would like Madine, Jackson, Tudgay & Nouble in their Squad?

No but they are good starting points and good building blocks for success. Not many goals are scored when you don't have possession :pointlaugh: You obviously enjoyed watching Freddie Eastwood?

Fallen out of love after 62 years...

I know how you feel, my wife doesn't come on her she thinks the posters are tiresome (including me)....her father was a big fan, her grandad was also and in fact played for what was then the reserve team. She has been as season ticket holder herself for many season. The other day we were...

How many L1 managers would like Madine, Jackson, Tudgay & Nouble in their Squad?

It is a shame these players don't seem to be able to run around on the pitch with endeavour and enthusiasm, draw off their own experiences as professional and amateur footballers in order to shape their own destiny and ours. I don't think Pressley is great but I think his effort and passion is...

    Fugazi

Grendel Thanks for pointing out Wasps are a nasty Hedgefund, it just proves SISU are no good...not even as a nasty hedgefund. I wish things had gone all Fugazi! What a great band they were!

    Badge coming down :(

And that is why it was so high risk and dumb....I used to use a pub in Coventry High Street, it is now unrecognisable, totally rebuilt and called Barclays Bank. A bit like Highfield Road site is a housing estate. Joy claims to know the real estate market, really?

    Badge coming down :(

If you took them at face value I think my original stance is valid. I didn't believe what they said about building a new stadium either, but it was a very high risk stratergy and the only thing at risk was the future of the club or at least it having a future within the city or at least on the...

Reda (again) out for 3 weeks

Had an accident with scissors wrapping presents? We will miss his positives, but he does have a history of being injury prone.

    Badge coming down :(

But the trouble with the three year deal with a possible 2 year extension ChiefDave, and why I saw it as an open ended deal, is simple. They had no land, no site in place...it was a sudden break away to stop "paying rent." Anybody with any modicum of sense would know a 3 plus 2 timescale in...

If the council brought in another football club....

I am 53 new teams start in Coventry all the time I have played for a few. Time to stop gazing a your navel and start looking forward. The situation is what it is, you can't change the past. As Joe Strummer said "The future is unwritten"

    Badge coming down :(

It is not our stadium it is theirs. (Unfortunately) SISU failed to broker a deal, they chose a distress route, they read the market incorrectly; I suspect they just didn't have the money. Now all this stuff about Wasps bullshit, sounds like sour grapes. Because I blame SISU for still...

    Reda Johnson

He is better as a LB than a CB as shown at Sheff Wed. He plays with his heart on his sleeve but is a bit of a loose cannon. Needs to use his brain a bit more and work on his positional play...potentially a very decent player at this level.
