Thats the key. I don't see any reason why CCFC taking on the Ricoh without millions of debt attached is a problem. How does every other club in the country that owns their own stadium cope? I've yet to see any fans of other teams wishing their club didn't own.
Hopefully be a better offer than when Gidney said we could buy them back for the remainder of the original 50 year lease for something ridiculous like £32m
Don't see why not, after all we keep being told the benefit of having CCFC there is minimal so shouldn't be a problem to pass those minimal profits over. ;)
Bit of an overreaction IMO to start throwing around things like we are finished. Was there actually anyone who thought SISU would win this? And was there anyone who though once they lost they wouldn't try taking it to Europe?
So what do they mean by adding of public importance? To me that reads like there is an argument but it’s been decided it shouldn’t be heard. If this is all we’re getting, with no further detail, doesn’t that immediately open the door for the next appeal.
Assume the full verdict hasn’t been released but how is it not if public importance that the council might have done the taxpayer out of tens of millions? And if it’s not why was the case heard in the first place?
That doesn’t read as if they’re saying it’s right or wrong legally. Hopefully...
Do people really think SISU are just going to drop it now? If they can’t appeal this to a higher level they’ll just start up the civil case this has all been leading to.
I know you’re joking but is it even allowed in contract law to insert a clause that your tenant, or any associated company, can not take any legal action against you at any point in the future?
And of course if the work needed to bring the ground up to FL standard was paid for by CCFC as long as it was done in a way that matched CRFCs plans that would be less money they’d have to spend themselves.
