Trinity Mirror and CT also told to Shut Up

Possibly - just an example of how the press may not publish even when not a matter of national security. Consider this - SISU is a litigious organisation, I would go as far as to conjecture that it is a key part of their strategy. They probably have in-house lawyers and it is relatively cheap...

    Sell us the pitch !

So you are saying that different problems require different solutions? Why let that be an impediment? Why not solve the Ricoh issue by declaring war on Germany? This has been known to resolve major issues at least twice.

Poll - Who is to blame?

Coleman and Ranson? Why? Coleman was just a manager doing his best. He didn't make any financial decisions. We have Ranson to thanks for the young team we have now. I'd have him back tomorrow.

2017/18 - Sky Blues start the season at a new ground just outside the city limits

Completely disagree that the taxpayers should support the club. The club does not belong to the people of Coventry, it belongs to an anonymous group of very rich people. Very rich people whose scruples do not exclude investing in a hedge fund like SISU that will take any extreme measure within...

2017/18 - Sky Blues start the season at a new ground just outside the city limits

Who says they don't? Possibly they feel that a thread about wasting taxpayers' money generally isn't the correct subject for a chat site dedicated to Coventry City?

    Christie's Off Then...

This is BAU (business as usual). Most clubs must sell their best players when bigger clubs come-a-calling. The Northampton Sky Blues are no exception.

2017/18 - Sky Blues start the season at a new ground just outside the city limits

Bless you, poppet - to find this interesting. Not really relevant to this conversation though, which is all about principles. Maybe start another thread?

2017/18 - Sky Blues start the season at a new ground just outside the city limits

Let's assume 1 mile outside the city limits somewhere. Let's face it, the Ricoh isn't exactly in the town centre, so let's assume it is just as accessible, but not in Coventry.

2017/18 - Sky Blues start the season at a new ground just outside the city limits

Like several people on here I don't think this will happen, because I don't think SISU has any intention of building a new stadium - it is all just part of the emotional blackmail to try and steal the Ricoh from the taxpayers. However, let's assume that they do go ahead. Would you start...

    Question, not a suggestion

I wrote to the FL a few days ago asking them for a definition of their role and the escalation procedure should they not meet it. They replied that they have no responsibility for football in England, only for maintaining their competition. They said that the FA would be the place to look for...

Support the lads...for the final push

There are a lot of people in Coventry making a sacrifice to try and get the club on better ground for the long term. It may not be huge, but it's the only tool available to us and I think it's blooming impressive that so many people are taking part. So by all means, you go if you want to...

    The Football League and Otium

I recently wrote to the FL asking if they would reconsider Otium as 'right and proper' owners in the light of the zero rent offer. I also put it to them that they were failing in their remit. This is the answer I received. Interesting that we could easily be expelled from the league within...
