Why can't we hold onto a winning position?

I'm going to listen to his post match interview - (although I've already read the main points). No sarcasm, but did CWR ask him any searching questions about tactics, substitution etc ?

Anybody else still going to defend Pressley?

I'm waiting for "We're all desperately disappointed in there - we've just got to get our heads down and get on with it"

    Sheff Utd Match Thread

" I sense a real hunger and desire amongst the group" - (can't believe I forgot this old favourite that gets trotted out every other week). Let's hope he sees it, rather than senses it today!:o

    Phone in

More have gone to their games, but no way do they have a bigger fan base than City. Attendance (at the moment -yes). Fan base - No

Pressley's post match comments at Sheffield Utd will be ......

I've just read through this thread again, and found that for a good majority of posts I was reading the words (in my head) in a Scottish accent, as if listening to SP's post match CWR interview. I have to say, it's quite amusing to recognise some old favourite phrases (that I'd forgotten) like...

Pressley's post match comments at Sheffield Utd will be ......

We pressed much better in the second half. Jack Finch is exceptional for an 18 year old (though perhaps not as good as Dele Alli next week - that's me, not SP!). Young George Thomas when he came on (x goals down, with 10 minutes left) epitomises what the future of this football club is about -...

If you had to make a decision right now...

Surely someone who obviously likes/liked Terry Gibson's curly perm should be hardened to any other strange/mediocre goings on on the football pitch? ;)

If you had to make a decision right now...

This forum has so many threads on 'non on-the-pitch' subjects, it really reflects how poorly we are doing and how convinced we are that nothing will ever change (anybody do 'Waiting for Godot' at school?!?). Apart from the occasional outbreak of 'Webster baiting' , you would think most threads...

    The next three games ...

I'd take 3 points from those 3 games - as I can only see defeat against Sheff Utd, and MK have better players/play better football than us (at the mpment). Barnsley are a bit unpredictable - but certainly no greta shakes. Therefore I'd see 3 points as fairly positive. Like others anything more...

Apologies if I'm wrong for that - thought that one/some of the Tim Fisher related companies were taking 'management fees' in the past, and had assumed still were. I'll withdraw that comment (but still don't like 'em!!)

A;though I understand that G, if our current lords and masters won't take their hands from around the throat of our club - we could start again. Wasps / ACL would agree for any new CCFC to play at the Ricoh, and without SISU charging £££££££ management fees, I thinkk that fans would rallly round...

    Are we Staying Up?

That straw is becoming a twig, Bradford 2-0 up. Twenty more results go for us and we'll have the semblance of a raft (with a lifebelt) !!

    Are we Staying Up?

Orient 1-0 down at home to Bradford - (at least) another couple of days away from bottom 4, hopefully - clutch at any straw !!!

Hill - I want you to lead us in this dance at the first post SISU game / or a top 6 finish (either will do!)

    Jamie Jones

Last Summer I spent a couple of hours wandering through Venice (including a spot of lunch) to show my then 8 year old son this view (not you Noggin), only to find St Marks square underwater and couldn't get through the crowd (missus didn't want to get feet wet) to show him. Gutted to be honest...

    Great individual performances

Steve Hunt was superb in a magnificent group of youngsters, with Gillespie, Thompson, Danny Thomas amongst others - remember Steve Whitton (tank of a player) who never really took off after he left us (injury prone?)

    Great individual performances

Dion Dublin played centre half away at Leicester a good few years ago - think we won 2-0, think he scored them both, IIRC. He was magnificent, and just loved how racked off the Leicester fans were around me ( was sitting in a Leicester area with an old mate who follows them). Memories !

    As it stands

Just looked at the next 7 games - only picked one out as a win. By the time that we reach the final group of 'easier' games that Otis pointed out on a recent thread, there is a real possibility we could be a few points adrift. I think Yeovil are doomed, and had Crawley in that bracket until...
