Interesting chat with City Insider yesterday

At some point during the month you would not be even on cashflow though wouldn't you? So that's not a valid example. :)

    Local media are truly shocking

I agree that the CET journalists are poor (Simon excepted) but I suspect that their hands are tied by policy. They have to trot out several hundred words on CCFC every day. If they lost access it would be a disaster, so they play to game and don't sacrifice their bread and butter for one scoop.

Call me old fashioned or correct me any accountants on here... if we are cashflow positive wouldn't that imply we are also at least breaking even on operating costs?

Interesting chat with City Insider yesterday

Sorry for not thinking everything through for one post. One more question: If transfer money does go straight out of the door, does this mean that debt to SISU is now decreasing? If so, this would imply that they can keep going for ages with a strategy of cashing in on the youth team. I do...

Interesting chat with City Insider yesterday

Also interesting that SISU is still effectively bankrolling the club for operating costs. Weren't we told that we were now no longer operating at a loss? Could you ask your friend if, as I suspect, the transfer money goes straight to SISU as interest and debt repayment?

Interesting chat with City Insider yesterday

Thanks, very interesting and certainly similar to what I suspected. Someone should send Joy a link to the BBC Sports page or CCFC home site - then she could save 10p on a phone call that could be used more productively to sue a child or something.

    What's with us and penalties?

A penalty kick must be the ultimate test of confidence. The entire squad is low on that so it stands to reason we should miss many.

    Madine wants to stay

The issue is it's not easy to obtain a good team without spending the money. We got lucky with Wilson - but couldn't afford to keep him.

    Madine wants to stay

Because you don't agree or because I haven't explained well? What I mean is that whenever I leave a job for a new one, I always say that I've had a great time, wonderful team, sad to leave etc. even if I have hated it - to say anything else would be unpleasant and add no value.

    Madine wants to stay

I wouldn't read too much into what footballers say. They always trot out vague positive sound bites, just like we must always say how wonderful our time has been when we leave a job.

    Richard Money

Must be the first Money that SISU has ever rejected.

    Where's waggott?

I was expecting a picture book with Waggott hiding in full view wearing a bobble hat and a striped jumper.

Anticipating Pressley's post - Yeovil match comments .

“I’m numb after that, especially after the performance we gave in the first/second (delete as appropriate) minute when we were very positive in everything we did, created a lot of chances, and were very comfortable. The last/first 89 minutes' performance was just not acceptable and we’re now in...

Are Things Coming to a Head?

... but in the meantime, relegation is no deterrent - it plays little on their minds. It's all about the money.
