    General Election 2019 thread

Do you not think that Corbyn's replacement would get the same treatment from the media? They went after Miliband before Corbyn got in with all the hating the UK stuff. I don't recall people having great concerns about Corbyn in all his years in parliament, all seemed to start when the media...

Not a great day. Could turn out to be a lot worse if Stokes' injury is anything serious.

    Death List 2019

There's people who used to post on here all the time that just suddenly stopped. Who knows if they'd just had enough or are no longer with us.

    General Election 2019 thread

This forum seems to have a disproportionately high number of people who are absolutely loaded and planning to retire in their 50s. Why don't you all club together and buy the club and build us a new ground?

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

Pretty much, well him and the Conservatives overall. Look at the pattern since the referendum. Cameron promised to stay and implement the result, instead he resigned the next morning triggering a leadership contest. Then May decided to call a general election and lost the Conservative...

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

Nothing to discuss as Johnson has succeeded in once again finding a way to delay Brexit, this time by holding a general election.

Have to say I find it depressing as well. There's a difference between having the right not to vote and wanting to vote but not being able to find a single candidate worth voting for. The FPTP system doesn't help either. Unless you live in a marginal its basically all a waste of time.

Was just reading about that. Their advertising seem to have moved to a much more defensive strategy suggesting they aren't as confident as the polls would suggest they should be.

It's the same deal that was first offered by the EU. May's comments at the time were "The draft legal text the Commission have published would, if implemented, undermine the UK common market and threaten the constitutional integrity of the UK by creating a customs and regulatory border down the...

Worth digging into the underlying data. Particularly the trend over the period of time they were polling. If the movement to Labour continues at the rate it did during polling, which covered a period including the Conservative manifesto launch and the Chief Rabbi's anti-semitism comments, the...

    Temporary Subs

Why do they always bring these things in major finals rather than giving them a few seasons in league football. Unless they are going to be independent assessed, and even then it largely relies on what you say to the doctor, this will be manipulated.
