    Glory Hunters

My earliest memory of Coventry City was when they won the old second division and getting promoted to top flight for the first time in their history. A few months later I got a Coventry kit for my 6th birthday, I guess I am just a glory hunter

Conor Thomas offered chance to train and impress

TM was impressed with his pre season then he picked up a couple of injuries and seemed to disappear. I think he needs a fresh start somewhere else.

    Butts park arena?

I think that could change once they start training in Coventry. However Roland Winter at Coventry has already said he is not a fan of using DR's from other clubs. But interesting times at Coventry Rugby. About time they got there act together....they should at least be a competitive...

    Premier League left-back?

Or it suited the players but they were not good enough against the opposition they had?

    Premier League left-back?

There is nothing wrong with this formation. But like any formation you need the players to play it. Leicester won the Premier League because 4-4-2 suited their personnel, not because it was the best formation. The players available matched against the opposition should dictate the formation.

    Watching the play-offs this weekend

I would be happy because this are the rules and we were promoted. But deep down I would still feel the third place team deserved it not us, because they finished third in the league, a competition that is run over many months. Then purely for money and TV it reverts to a cup competition between...

Couple of things Nick, The old site told you who the last poster was on a thread. Also had a button to take you to the last or most recent post. Both were useful features.

Sports Lounge Player of the Year

Stokes for me, as he was consistently good throughout the season. Improved as a player and the bonus was showing us he could play at CB as well.

Ricketts, Maddison and Cole shouldn't even be in the nominations.

Liverpool/Spurs after CW - City to get at least 10% of £20M+ ?

I saw the fee paid for Vincelot and Jones as a positive. I want to see more players coming in who are in the 25-30 bracket in key positions. Players who have some experience and can give 3 to 4 years so we can build a competitive team and squad.

    Upping the post count

But the shitty owners were best placed to have done things differently. Communication is one thing that would not have cost them a penny but potentially saved them thousands.

"Realistic" free transfers or signings only

As Steven Pressley spotted, Rory Donnelly is a good prospect. 10 in 38 for Gillingham. Shame Swansea sacked their manager on day one of his loan. Fair play to him for doing a u turn so he could try and prove himself to the new manager.

You wouldn't pick Armstrong ahead of Juke then?

    Mean while back in court

Astute, I agree. Also, I don't think they had the money to pay what Wasps did.
