Best match seen in the snow

That was the one! fantastic atmosphere, snowball fights with the everton fans and a good game to go with it. I remember the appeals being put out in the coventry telegraph and the press afterwards as well.

Been on a Risk Assessment course? Sorry! Couldn't stop myself even though you say you are not in to Health and Safety. There is a thing called positive risk taking as well. Personally I think the game will be called off by this evening. Too much to do before tomorrow. The footpaths are...

    Dangerous conditions

Baby steps! No seriously, I am as bad as Jeremy Paxman when it comes to walking, I often tell the mrs to 'come on' when we are on a route march for exercise. She likes looking at the scenery. The other thing about the walking is that the last few seasons it has been the highlight of my...

    Dangerous conditions

And another thing. The pathways were generally good down burbages lane and Ash Green. The only problem area seemed to be the pathways just before Hen Lane which were pitted with ice in places. Not very user friendly. But hey, if it were not for the risky things we do life would be boring...

    Dangerous conditions

If the snow comes I am going out sledging anyway! The game will surely be called off if we have 8 inches of it. Although I do remember a couple of seasons ago when we played and people were unable to come because of the road and travel conditions. I live 50 min walking distance from the...

ACL and the City Council announcement

Why are ACL as a private company OK to be bailed out by the taxpayer but CCFC are not? They probably could. But would you work with them. A hedge fund. Far better to work with Higgs and ACL on keeping the community of Coventry's intersts in tact.

ACL and the City Council announcement

So, SISU need to find some money then. They were holding ACL to ransom. It seems that ACL does a better job of managing thier debt than SISU. To me, it makes no difference where we play in the city boundaries. SISU have been playing with fire.

For all the hard working self-employed & private sector workers

We all pay taxes and national insurance don't we? Not sold on the notion that self employed and private sector contribute to society. Oh wait.....Thatcher said that there is no such thing as society. The other thing that is important to me is to do what I enjoy. It happens to be in the...

For all the hard working self-employed & private sector workers

You missed the point of the teacher's post. Anyway Having worked in both private and public sector I think there is a difference in ethos. Teachers, local govt officers, nhs are all public servants and their success is measured on a daily basis. The same applies in the private sector except...

For all you teachers out there.

Sorry, which planet did you say you are from? Work it out. Assessment, recording, reporting, planning over 13 curriculum subjects, meetings, liaising with parents..... Oh and they have to teach the children as well. The job is not a bed of roses. But you are right, it is down to...
