It's just whether his deadpan manner isn't the greatest of motivators. We often start games pretty flat.
No doubt he is a thoughtful manager with tactical nouse. Just whether we lack someone to get them stirred up.
I think Ben Wilson deserves a lot of credit for going away, as a bit of an unconfident mess tbh, and coming back almost reinvented.
He has shown over a number of games now, a new composed and confident approach. Much calmer and more thoughtful while still making some fine saves.
Sure lots to...
I must be missing the Simms skillset that would make him a good right wing player!
His problem as a target man is that he is so limited. Not great at holding up and laying off the ball, not great in the air, can't really control the ball and take it past a defender, doesn't chase and hassle...
We generally don't have a controlled pass and move game which puts strikers in good positions with a little more time. (Like our goal last night!) Strikers tend to have scrappy half chances.
It's where Bassette, BTA and Rudoni showed promise and Wright and especially Simms look like isolated...
Good to see how mobile we were with Bassette, BTA and Rudoni once they got fired up.
Wright has lots of potential but needs a step change in his fitness, he's very patchy.
Simms looks an old school awkward centre forward in comparison.
EMC has a long way to go.
Not sure Torp will make it...
Definitely not Thomas, yet. I mean he can't even get a regular game here.
Saka and Simms have been very average this season but we know what they are capable of.
Can't say I'm very positive.
I think it's the realisation that we've sold the 3 highest quality players we have and bought in a lot of average quantity. Players that don't even bring much when they come on as subs.
He's lucky because he will have to play a good number of games until the end of December.
In the Norwich game he got his head down, tackled and competed more. What we need to see is him doing that but also finding time to look up and pass forward. And to form a proper partnership with Eccles or...
I'd prefer to moan that football has got completely out of control in terms of players wages, transfer fees, merch, match day prices and everything around it.
I personally won't pay mad prices to help fund that ridiculous, unethical business model.
Spurs will play a reserve team (the vast majority I've never heard of) for 90 mins and Robins will play our reserves for 45 mins.
It's the Carabao cup.
Is that worth £37? No.
