Reassuring to have the McCann deal made official. I would be fairly happy if we can bring in two permanent signings and say three on loan. We need quality not quantity. Better to save the budget for the right players rather than just fill up the spaces.

And that applies to the Stadium as well.

I think we missed a potential gem in Nicky Clarke from Rangers. A good link player in the build up with a knack for being in the right place in the six yard box.

First few games are always a lottery. It's after about five or six games before you get a real feel of where teams are at. I would settle for a mediocre start and a strong finish.
