Depends where they move next. Who says a short term deal won't be increased. I would suggest the short deal is to test how it suits both parties. Sensible if you ask me.

Exactly and if they were our players you would want them to be still here because of the first half of the season. You would hope they could learn from that season and progress, especially with a couple of additions to the squad. We have targeted a few players and given them longer contracts...

Because it will increase their profile, make them more accessible and if they get promotion will provide a lot of the facilities they will need to provide.

The point is we had them to enjoy. They are on the long list of many city players we can be proud of for pulling on the shirt. There will be players in the future who we will be proud of.

And there is the problem our fans (?) write some of our players off far too soon and at times with glee! Surely we want to see them all develop? The other side is wild expectations that players cannot deliver. Players, especially young players should be given time to develop. Nothing wrong...
