    Coronavirus (CCFC Related)

Think contracts are supposed to be standardised to end June 30 so we've probably got until the end of May before that becomes an issue. If you started on or before June 1 should just about get things done. You'd need a couple of weeks for the play offs which would run into July but I can't...

    Coronavirus (CCFC Related)

Be interesting to see if clubs start picking up released players for next season. If all clubs do the same as Colchester it will be a complete free for all when its confirmed the season is starting. Is there anything stopping them offering contracts that have a small retainer and / or wage...

    Wasps downward spiral...

Higgs was going to cost millions (£7m?) to adapt to their needs. They didn't have the money and so wanted a sponsor to pay for it, not surprisingly they couldn't find one. The housing was land next to Higgs which was quietly sold off. Just a thought, didn't the Saracens stuff start unravelling...

Isn't it sensible to look at other countries? I'd want to know what another country was doing differently to us if there were appearing to have a greater level of success.

New Zealand closed their borders on 19th March except for returning citizens. Then on 10th April they brought in compulsory 14 day quarantine in a government facility. According to press reports here we're considering bringing in some restrictions to incoming flights next months.

Yes they are but they aren't included in the figure being announced daily by the government. You have to get that data from the ONS figures which are published weekly but deaths can not show on there for weeks due to the way the system of registering deaths work. Normally its not an issue as...

This is, IMO, the best option. Instead of looking at what has been recorded as coronavirus deaths look at excess mortality.

Not really down to care home death not being recorded correctly, its the lag (which is weeks) in the deaths being registered and the ONS publishing the figures. The FT aren't plucking figures out of thin air, they're looking at the existing published data and then using that to model the...

Why is any criticism of Johnson or the government met with something like 'you don't like the man' rather than an actual response to the criticism? There was zero substance in there. What do you know now that you didn't know before his speech? He's talking about lockdown being a success...

Interesting that the plan for easing restrictions and starting the move towards ending lockdown sees them move to something similar to what we are terming lockdown. Shows how relaxed our restrictions are compared to others.

Just moved from renting to being a homeowner. Won't be too happy if 20% suddenly drops off the value of the house and doesn't recover pretty quickly.

EFL Decision on Coventry’s future expected today

If they idea is to remove the need for meaningless games do we know how many games that are due to be played are actually meaningless. Look at our division, teams have 8 to 10 games to go, that's 24 to 30 points available. Gillingham are 11th and 8 points off the play offs Accrington are 17th...

I completed just before all this kicked off. Was already concerned about doing it now in case Brexit caused prices to drop, now this on top. Hopefully everyone is just in a holding pattern and things will spring back to life without prices collapsing.
