Just had my daily grey dot visual check (the 'checks' get more frequent as the week progresses) - looks promising considering it's not even midday Tuesday.
Guess the crowd thread is turning into a 'boo or not to boo' sub-thread. I booed, wasn't happy, but now I am and am buying the lady in front some wine gums for Saturday so that we can all be friends again (hope she likes wine gums!)
Was in Barcelona for that game - will be there this time, though - hopefully we will have learned from the experience - wouldn't harm to bring on the DKE twins in the last 5 mins of the first leg to take out one or two of their 'main men'
I'm with you mate - I just got wound up whilst watching it. Think it was because I had been so looking forward to it and wasn't expecting us to adopt those tactics quite so early in the game. I've moved on and already have wine gums for the lady in front who was (rightly) getting miffed at my...
City seem to have taken to Friday night football, so I'm hoping that will tip it in our favour. We haven't been beaten on a Saturday evening for ages either - so Notts County may as well not bother turning up!
Wouldn't be a match thread without a Nick 'break him in half, go right through him' comment. Shouldn't mock though, as I sort of agree with him - if e.g. Bayliss is having a stormer, it wouldn't be any surprise to see someone take him out in the first game to try and have him injured for the...
Never seen any threatening N County fans in my travels there. Passions will be running higher than normal, but it will hardly be like sitting in with Millwall !
Was Shipley injured when he came off Saturday, or was it tactical? Hoping Shipley can play a part over the 2 legs, though Reid can be a different option.
Burge played like Gordon Banks and Turnbull played like Bobby Moore last time we were at Wembley - so no worries that our players won't grow at that venue (especially with a sea of Sky Blue behind them!)
We'd better hope Calum Wilson gets sold on now! We'll have the Madders money next year, plus we've got the play off and Wembley takings to swell the coffers.
Sad for him, sad for us - although if he recovers, it will only delay the cash for a year. Let's hope it's not as bad as those at Carrow Road seem to think. Scan over the next couple of days.
I actually thought he was unusually restrained in his forward movement - particularly in the second half - me and my mate both thought he was 'under orders' to not push forward too much.
