It's pretty mind-blowing to think that Wasps have the whole thing with a 250 year lease for £6.5m when our original lease had us paying £60m just for 50 years matchday access with an offer to buy access to matchday revenues for £24m. Just have a quick think about what Wasps got for £6.5m...

They were being charged as if they were using the stadium bowl 365 days a year. Valuations office looked into it and ruled they should only be liable for actual use such as matchdays. Seem to recall they had been overpaying for 7 or 8 years but the council only refunded 3 meaning the council...

    Video Cup final restoration

Looks great. Wonder if the original footage was recorded on tape or film. If it was film, and the original exists, it could potentially be rescanned to get the highest quality possible Would love a high quality copy but guess it would come down to cost against potential sales.

If that’s what they’re claiming it doesn’t match what’s on the video. You can clearly see on that they drive down two roads before turning into the single lane road. They only actually stop when a second police car Is coming toward them, with one in front and one behind there is nowhere left for...

SISU's bid couldn't be accepted because they wanted Higgs to work with them on community projects? What laws prevent a charity working on community projects in line with their stated aims?

We don't. If there's a chance of a bidding war clubs make it known so they get best return. You arguing against your own point here as Wasps didn't pay a premium for a period of exclusivity.

    Ricoh Lease...

Nobody else was ever given a chance to bid on the Ricoh with a 250 year lease. Given that we are told that Wasps were going bust imminently surely the council held all the cards in negotiations so why were they done in secret? How did that get the best return for the taxpayer?

Interesting comment from the Warwickshire cricket CEO regarding their season starting 1st August: now to be fair I've been to county games where you could literally have a block per spectator but one day and T20 games are a different matter. Wishful thinking or have they been advised of something?
