WHO says it would be disastrous to allow stadium events this year. Expect the government to announce they will allow crowds imminently! https://www.nme.com/news/music/world-health-organisation-says-stadium-events-very-unrealistic-for-remainder-of-2020-2728382

Are you deliberately missing the point? If he wears a mask its not to protect him its to protect others, its not to keep him safe. For him to be safe needs everyone else to wear a mask. People not wearing masks is endangering other people.

These may help, here's a study showing the impact mask mandates had in various US states. https://www.healthaffairs.org/doi/10.1377/hlthaff.2020.00818 Here's a study that looks at transmission rates in countries where mask wearing is the norm compared to those where it isn't...

As has just been explained to you the benefit of mask wearing is that you don't pass things on to other people. People are wearing them to protect others not themselves.

Really hammers home how poor our enforcement is when they show other countries quarantine on the news. People in hotels which have had huge fences put up around them and the armed forces patrolling. Here you’re allowed to travel across the country and then we just hope people stay at home.

    Council funding for Ricoh Refurb

Same with the Telegraph. Happy to report on councillors moaning before they’ve even seen any plans but zero mention of the things the councillors reported back from their meeting with UoW that could be viewed as positives.

I can’t see it happening safely. The question is will it being unsafe stop them.

    Concrete Houses

Lived in Canada for a year, it’s pretty common once you’re outside the big cities to buy a huge plot of land and build your own place exactly how you want it.

Looking at other countries and what you get for your money is incredibly depressing. Even in countries that are supposed to expensive. Got a couple of mates who moved to Australia, one to Sydney the other to the Gold Coast. One in Sydney used to have a small flat here, now lives in a huge...

    A place in the sun

We switched the whole company to WFH and its been fine. Had a meeting a couple of weeks ago and everyone had to say if they wanted to go back into the office or not (even those of us who are furloughed). Literally every person said the same thing, they preferred working from home and were...

    Coronavirus Thread (Off Topic, Politics)

Hang on a second. Is this just the daily figure out out by Public Health England that has been changed? People have been pointing to excess deaths and the ONS stats as more accurate since this began. Still it’s a nice distraction for the government rather than having to actually deal with the...

    New sponsor* !!!!!

People who are moaning on social media that its not a big enough company. Do they realise this is just for the home shorts, its not the main shirt sponsor.

Haskell / ACL / Trust / CCFC Administration

Presume you're referring to JLR. Vodafone and Ericsson are the same, Wasps wanted their services but didn't want to pay and had things they couldn't get sponsors for. Aren't some of the others on that list Premiership Rugby partners rather than Wasps?

    Lockdown lessons

I‘ve learnt that work is bad for my health, wish I was joking but I’m not. Have lost a stone and a half since being furloughed and for the first time in a long time my blood pressure has dropped to a normal level. Got called in on Monday to do one day, because a site visit was needed and I’m...

    New Stadium Announcement!!!!!!

Don’t think anyone will believe it until they’re sat in their seat watching the first game! Say this every time but I think everyone saying it won’t happen and picking holes in any comments, especially when it includes the local media and council, just plays into SISU’s hands. They can play the...

    New Stadium Announcement!!!!!!

The Uni told the local councillors who demanded a meeting as soon as the news broke that they are waiting on the final confirmed location for the A46 relief road to determine the exact stadium location. They also said a public consultation is expected in the autumn so presumably they expect to...

    New Stadium Announcement!!!!!!

The CT seemed to have missed out a couple of points the councillors reported back from their meeting with the Uni. UoW say they have put a team together internally to oversee the project and they also said they would be holding a public consultation later this year.
