Assumed there was a lag in people testing positive as every time there's been a big event people have said wait 2-3 weeks to see the impact on cases. From what is being said about current cases if we're following the same pattern as France and Spain the initial surge in cases is in younger...

That's the expected timeframe for a rise in cases rather than deaths isn't it?

Hope there's not much to this but the recent track record makes it entirely believable https://inews.co.uk/news/health/coronavirus-latest-mass-uk-vaccine-delayed-two-years-logistical-failings-663995

Point is probably fair. A useful point on the road, if we can keep picking up 4 points every 3 games I'll be more than happy.

Decent enough first half. Need to sharpen up a bit when we're on the break but the game is definitely there for the taking in the second half.

Do they think if they keep saying things they will magically happen? 3 millions tests a day and a vaccine that doesn't currently exist being rolled out before Xmas seems pure fantasy. The back up plan is everyone self isolates for 2 weeks before Xmas, so what about people that need to go to work?

Police officer shot dead by man in custody

Its starting to sound like the offender was in for a routine check as he was on some sort of watchlist and therefore wasn't searched. If correct that's a big oversight in procedure that will need to be corrected ASAP to prevent any more tragic incidents like this.

Police officer shot dead by man in custody

"The officers were executing a drugs warrant in Dale Close, Barnet, when they were injured by a suspected corrosive substance.". What has this got to do with BLM? I'll bite, where have you got the 90% figure from? As for saying they have no issue with black on black crime that's simply false.

Students I've seen interviewed on a couple of news bulletins today were moaning they were being told not to go shopping or go home to get their washing done, complaining they were running out of food and clean clothes. The chances of just keeping any outbreak just among students seems virtually...

Certainly not saying any scheme is perfect, just suggesting that other schemes seem preferable to ours. I'm not seeing any reason companies would take up our scheme when it means them paying more for every hour worked by an employee. Maybe you can explain the benefit to employers of the type of...

Its very imaginatively called the co-operative. Biamou has property there I think, seem to remember the club posting something about it. The flats seem pretty expensive for what you get.

The fact that our scheme was more generous to start off with is irrelevant moving forward. Just highlights yet another failure of the government to properly manage the situation. I already pointed out the French and German schemes existed pre-covid. The fact our system wasn't up to scratch...

Completely agree. The talk before the announcement was of a scheme modelled on the likes of Germany and France. This scheme seems fundamentally different in that it is in part down to employers to pay for the unworked hours. I've still not seen anybody explain why employers would take up this...

Spot on, people are busy arguing about the figures put out by the government but really you need to look at the ONS figures. There you can clearly see excess deaths, and in numbers that are substantially higher than the governments covid death figures. If the excess deaths aren't covid what is...
