Meyler out (ill?) but looks a strongish line up. No excuses if they are fit.

Nobody ill in the eleven and I'm hoping for a result. If we're carrying sicknotes, I fear the worst.

May not be the same rail dispute, but heard on the news about half an hour that rail action (relating to guards) had been called off. Apologies if this is a different dispute!!

    The protest

On a slight side issue (apologies if it's already been mentioned) , don't the club usually generate income in about April(?) through the early bird offer for next season's ticket sales? This is going to be tricky isn't it and create a cash flow problem while this carries on (perhaps the...

Brown and Ogogo playing. Jones us the one you should have cited as an example. Max will be ok. Can feel it in my water.

    Doyle Leaving?

...enter pantomime villain to a chorus of boos. He makes a snidey remark, and exits stage with a smug look on his face. Only later did he realise his error in leaving a superfluous 'r' in the middle of the former managers name. Damn the spelling police he muttered under his breath.

Micheal Doyle - Enforcer - Gentleman - Legend

No - what's not to like. Genuine guy, raised money for the Coventry homeless, and gave us a fantastic season last year, For the Notts County away game alone last year he gets the freedom of the City for me - never been so pumped up at a game, Wembley included.

    Max back in Training

No point rushing him. We have missed him. or if you think he wouldn't have cut the mustard, a player of his ilk.

We have to get a minimum of 3 points from this and the Walsall game. Ideally more. As others have hinted, first goal likely to be key.

Micheal Doyle - Enforcer - Gentleman - Legend

Yes. Saw this 5 minute interview yesterday, where he says he was CCFC, his kids were CCFC and a lot of his friends are CCFC. Couldn't have made his feelings any clearer.Quite an emotional watch! Top man.

    I'll say it

I want him to get the time to develop the asquad. For me he gets this season (barring relegation) plus next and I will be more judgemental then. He has had bad luck with injuries to key players and taken us to Wembley twice (including promotion) so that's extra time allowed in my opinion...

    Summary of January business

Not necessarily. We have less dead wood to get rid of in the summer, which should help ease the process of improving the squad.

    Charlie Wakefield

Why anyone would be convinced Sparky would come back here rather than head to Hibs I'm unclear on. Yes he loved it here, but it would have been an admission of failure. More chance of a Scotland call up now too. I love CCFC above all,but don't see why he would have chosen us over them.

    Ogogo gone

Just came on here to comment the same. One swallow and all that - particularly regarding Ogogo (despite MR saying it was all about not being able to accommodate him in our formation, you would have to think there is more to it than that)
