Agreed. There were 2 teams still in the premier league now interested

I imagine he would have only left for the prem yes, unless a silly offer for him personally came in from elsewhere (see O'Hare). He had offers from the Premier league, so either he turned them down for one reason or another (not sure why he would), or Doug stopped it, maybe Doug had an...

Will we have a new “head coach” in the dugout for the Sheff Utd game?

9 games left for my Carr 50/1 shout to come in 👀 he's down to 18/1 now to confirm, i dont think it will happen but was worth a couple of quid

Agree we have no real captain which isn't ideal at all, and i agree i think Sheaf would be better just concentrating on his own game, as we haven't seen last seasons standards again yet, but... Luton we're not the only team in for him in the summer, he had a couple of genuine offers from the...

On your second point, tbf to Doug, it does sound like this was tried and numerous attempts were made to sign a #2 he made it clear last night that Mark didnt want to work with Adi, so Doug backed Mark, he then looked for a number 2 for months. Still no sign so a decision had to be made Do any...

absolutely, its not a guarantee, but careless just to assume he wont be any good

Browne is absolutely no better than what we have and would have been a waste of a signing, people only wanted him because of his age!

    Frank Lampard Rumours

He's managed at a higher level than Robins ever has, he likely has a longer managerial career to look forward to, he's played football at a higher level than Robins ever did. We of course cannot predict the future, but to suggest that there is no way Lampard can be an upgrade on Robins is just...

i reckon we'll concede early doors but claw back some respect and claim a 1.1 draw. No changes to the starting line up, and no real idea at the end of the game whether we should be positive or not

If no announcement or clear plan tonight - what are we saying about Carr making it to 10 games and currently being 50/1 - worth a fiver!? 👀 edited to say Carrs 10th game would be 29th Dec against Millwall

What’s your expectation for the new guy?

with the start we've had would hope for top half still - cant "expect" playoffs with over a third of the season gone already

Next Game Sheff Utd - Hamer OHare

hopefully we'll have a new manager and that will take the focus off this pair and they get ignored until at least after the game... From a game perspective, will do well to keep both quiet, more concerned about Hamer, hopefully Sheaf back will help

Doug openly admitted he's not going to rush a decision and he's not implied there is anyone lined up, why wouldnt he say if there was?! all i am hopeful for is that we dont end up with an interim for long, as it stands there is no plan to suggest that wont be the case, we may hear different on...

im saying i would rather lose a few now to force King into a decision yes... Watching Carr pick up the odd result (which is exactly what we've done all season) and still be in charge post Christmas, would you want that? I dont want King to think thats an option

if you are now after a head coach as opposed to a manager, assuming the only real difference is "say in transfer market dealings" why do you not want the "head coach" to have this input any more? If that's not the case, what do you see as the difference between a head coach and a manager?

i hope you're right re: during the window, just an odd comment in the statement, everyone would feel better if Doug at least pretended to have a plan!

Dougs words - we are going to take our time...doesnt suggest a couple of weeks to me. He may have a plan, its just odd he wouldn't say he has. Would you take us picking up similar points to what we already have by Christmas and Carr still being in charge?
