    Match Thread Leamington Friendly

Ashely Giles, England's Director of Cricket, has spoken about this after the entire England squad had to go into isolation and be replaced with a whole new group of players. He confirmed there was no breach of the teams strict covid protocols but that they are now in an impossible situation...

Not sure how anyone can moan about that. Free ticket to the Wolves game and still sending a side to play the game so Leamington don't miss out on revenue.

    21/22 Summer transfer mega-thread

Something seems to be going on. We went from daily updates, and not just from the official CCFC channels from the the players as well, to nothing. And now the Leamington game has changed and as we know the U23s train separately to the first team. Hopefully nothing to serious and just a precaution.

    Question of sport trio axed.

Surprised at some of those names. Wonder if the reason they haven't gone for establish sports presenters and pundits is due to the amount of live sport these days. Potentially issues scheduling tapings if they use people who are in demand.

Coventry City can confirm that Gervane Kastaneer has left the Club

Surprised he's got a new club that easily. Presume this was in the works and why he agreed to a contract termination.

    Coronavirus Thread (Off Topic, Politics)

Not sure I get the thinking behind scrapping isolation given you can still catch and pass on covid if double jabbed. The one thing there seemed to be a consensus on among the experts was the need for test, trace and isolate to be working properly once restrictions were eased or removed but we...

    New kit information

Doesn't that mean they day you can walk into the shop and buy one off the shelf? Not sure why people get so worked up about this, sure there's plenty of clubs who haven't announced their kits yet.

That makes sense. Do we know what the pre-vaccine percentages for hospitalisations and deaths are? Can that be extracted from the PHE data?

    Coronavirus Thread (Off Topic, Politics)

Completely agree with Grendel on this, there has to be a point where the balance tips in favour of economic interests. My issue is I have no trust in this government to not greatly favour the economy over public health. As Wisdom says you've got the likes of the BMA very strongly saying masks...

    Coronavirus Thread (Off Topic, Politics)

Is my maths wrong because what Javid said about cases and what Saddlebrains said about the impact of the vaccine, with the caveat I don't know where he got that info from or how accurate it is, equates to 15K hospitalisations and 4K deaths a day. That can't be right so what sort of numbers are...
