Wasps going into admin & the impact on CCFC

I agree. Can’t see them not being in play. It’s worth more to SISU as owners of the club than a 3rd party. For all their wrongdoings, they’re not stupid. They know how important this is for any future sale or return on investment.

If what Duggins was saying in the meeting last week is correct, the council could be open to doing a dealing with Seppala. They cannot afford to screw over the football team again.

There will be absolute uproar if he is in anyway connected to a new lease.

Wasps going into admin & the impact on CCFC

Council HAVE to sell the lease to the football club if they are interested. They’ve already had the money for the lease so that is not an issue. In theory, could sell for £1. I would imagine bondholders security is gone if liquidation is confirmed too? If so, would that open the door for...

It may do if the council revoke the lease and revert back to 50 year wouldn’t it? Get a 250 year lease is essentially owning the thing forever.

Which, if the case, means it is imperative that CCFC end up with the lease.

Wasps going into admin & the impact on CCFC

Council can revoke the lease. But as the bondholders have a charge over the stadium, this could open a whole legal case that I am sure the council don’t want to get dragged into. They could in theory, revoke the lease and sell to their preferred bidder, with the proceeds going to bondholders...

They’re a hedgefund. They don’t want assets that don’t bring a return on investment. Get the stadium and they can offload at potential profit, if not break even.

Wasps going into admin & the impact on CCFC

Why is it not best that it goes to SISU anyway? It will make no difference to CCFC if it’s owned by the club or them. If they would want to sell CCFC in future they’d have to sell the whole lot, no one would be interested in the club without the stadium.

Very much so. Unless they’ve been lowballed and want to use others to push the price up. Still, I can’t imagine an arena of that size needing marketing to facilitate a sale. If someone is interested, I’m sure they’ve already come forward.

Notice issued to Bondholders. What a strange situation, asking for additional funds from people owed £35m to fund a marketing campaign for the sale of the arena. Clearly, no suitors at this time.
