It's telling that arguably the best episode of TLOU is the Bill one where they got to largely make it up from scratch. The rest stuck so closely to the game it inhibited a lot of it, like Frostie I felt it was rushed in parts as they seemed to feel compelled to get all the game beats in regardless.

It's probably my favourite show ever (although s5 has a wobble) but if you're nearly finished the first series and it's not grabbing you I'm not sure I'd recommend to stick with it. It expands on the city as it goes but what you get in S1 is largely what you get throughout

Malcesine is where we stayed last time, I've been to uglier places It had the cable car up Monte Baldo so you get the full view and it's nicely positioned to visit the various places around the lake, probably my favourite holiday
