How would a signing today help v Burnley? A player has to be registered with the FA by 12 noon the day before a match to play.
Also players have stuff to sort out and no chance of training with squad. No way would they play even if registered.
Our whole season doesnt hinge on away at...
No it isnt. Players of a certain age can have an injury and a lay off and they just lose that yard of pace. For example Kelly. Happens all the time. It wasn't like he contributed nothing.
It is why I have been concerned we havent got a McFadz understudy in already before this season. He is...
Our results are better when we play one upfront. We concede far less with the extra man in midfield. The trade off is we dont score shed loads of goals.
However if you dont concede you dont lose.... its a good starting point.
Not a fan of 4 year contracts. It is a long time in football. Prefer 2 years with a one year option.
This is nothing to do with Josh. Glad we have offered him a contract and he has signed.
I prefered living in Sheffield to Manchester. Didsbury was great, Droylesdon grim, Stalybridge too far out, Chadderton was great too. The area you live in really dictates your impression of Manchester.
But it has a lot going for it. I certainly do not regret my time there.
You would imagine that it would be hard to replace some of those with worse?
The first three didnt get anywhere near establishing themselves in the first team..
Ideally two.
But it doesnt even come to that sometimes. Its about competing in the air, making it as difficult as possible for the opponent. That is our biggest weakness. Blackpool and Wrexham too many guilty of just standing and watching. Letting the opposition play head tennis in our...
He would be my choice. Looked a good footballer. Read game well has good pace, not always trying to look pretty just does what has to be done. Which is what defending is about. Right age at 26 and has a fair few games under his belt.
2 years into a 4 year contract at WBA I believe.
He is of course a young player learning and not the finished article. Said all season not good enough to play in Premier League yet (and I really am a fan from before he joined us).
Doyle had a dodgy debut in the League Cup. Had one game when pulled early by Robins who felt he was trying to play with an injury undeclared.
He is what 19? Played left side, right side and center of the central 3. He has impressed me. Way ahead of Panzo defensively and not far behind...
Jimmy Hill, Richardson, McGinty, Ransom, SISU, Fisher, Sepalla, King, Storey, Ashley - makes no difference.... all cut from the same clloth. Their own ego was or would be put before the club when running it.
Nothing has changed in my book.
That might be true. But in the last couple of years Waghorne has earnt his wages more. Fisher has just walked his dog around Warwickshire looking for land?. He has been on gardening leave for ages.
