Reply to a letter in the 'Independant on Sunday' May 95

Peter Ndlovu got 1 and Steve Morgan the other. It was 1 of only 2 games I missed that season as I had tonsilitis and the game at Newcastle was called off when we were on our way up & when it was replayed they didn't allow away fans because of the redevelopment of St James Park

    Next Seasons Manager?

Whoever it is will need to do be able to do something that hasn't been done for years & that is to get whatever squad he wants signed up as soon as the possible and not hold out till the last minute trying to buy players who don't want to join us and then ending up with a ramshackle squad

Driving down to London on the day.....

[QUthanks TE="scubasteve, post: 1274656, member: 2794"]There is a decent amount, shouldn't have a problem getting parked especially on a Sunday morning. trains from Wembley stadium are well organised, they will defiantly have more than 2 trains an hour, usually on event days its every 10-15mins...

We are probably coming down the M40 and want to avoid the tube if we can

Driving down to London on the day.....

Seems a better option as there are 2 trains an hour to & from Wembley as opposed to 1 to/from Beaconsfield. What is parking like at Gerrards Cross?

Driving down to London on the day.....

Anyone parked at Beaconsfield and got train into Wembley Stadium? I have gone to Stanmore and got the tube in but getting back on the tube afterwards has been a nightmare. In 1987 the trains from Coventry went direct to Wembley Stadium and the queues afterwards took ages but I haven't seen...

Do You Like Your Job ?

What's not to like, I work in a cafe overlooking a loch in central Scotland meeting people from all over the world, my boss lets me make whatever I want to sell and she recognises how important family life is so if I need to leave early or get in late to deal with my son she is fine. Only...

Good luck tonight. Hope you do it.

That made me smile, it took me back to when I went to watch Sunderland play at Southend with my Sunderland supporting work mate & friend and as soon as the game kicked off all of the Sunderland fans starting shouting it.

    XBOX One Kinect

Ok, I'll have a look. I have found an XBOX one headset adapter which I reckon will get over the wire breaking issue, it's just a case of finding a headset my son likes. With your headset does the noise from the game come through it or still on the tv?

    XBOX One Kinect

OK, thanks for that. The Kinect doesn't seem to be the answer then. They do a controller which has a 3.5mm jack to connect the headset to, but of course we don't have one of those. Looks like we'll have to find some decent headphones but the problem is that they all seem to break at the same...

    XBOX One Kinect

My son previously had an XBOX 360 and now has an XBOX One S and must be on his 5th set of headphones as they keep breaking where they plug into the controller. We thought we had sorted it with the bluetooth headset for the 360 but that doesn't work on the One, thanks Microsoft. We have looked at...

Favourite City goal you saw live

3 of my favourites are Huckerby vs Man Utd for the run, the block by Whelan and the comments by Ferguson after that we'd never looked like scoring despite winning 3-2. Quinn's second against Arsenal at Highbury, I think Wegerle had it,moved away for Quinn who came in and curled it into top...
