Southend have sold their best players (to save wages/money). Hopper gone to Lincoln, keeper left to join Man Utd's development squad, and 2 of their players are out for 3 months after getting injured in their last game. If we turn up and approach this properly, we really ought to get 3 points...

Agreed, but when you meet the manager, players in person at some of these meetings, you tend not to round on them quite as quickly if they make the occasional balls up. Also seeing Dabo's parents, Shipley's Dad and Grandad etc at games, all helps a sense of community/family (to me, anyway!)
