The thing is though, they have a lot of crammed in games (the majority of which are meaningful)/. they then have to stop for a break and start up again, so will be facing just as much as an unusual pre-season as us. I guess mo-one yet knows who will benefit from the different season ends we/they...
Interestingly, I've trawled back through several pages of the Small Heath Alliance (Blues) forum, back into the end of June and there is not a single post about O'Hare. Not saying it won't happen, but surprised their fans forum isn't running away with that story when so many other minor stories...
Or .........will have less time to have recovered from injuries, niggles, preparation time, on top of which when they resume there will be more midweek matches when the season resumes due to a compressed season. Also getting further into debt playing matches without crowds. Overall I think I'd...
Sorry if wide of the mark, but weren't players just meeting up this week, and couldn't return to 'work' yet due to furlough situation. Haven't back-read all the thread, so apologies if this has been covered.
I want young hungry players, not 'old heads' just looking for a pay day. If it is a more experienced player, a Michael Doyle type attitude/mindset please (not that there are many of those around). Hopefully MR/AV will perform their usual wizardry.
Sometimes it's square pegs in round holes, or players who don't bond. We've been reallylucky/s blessed since that league 2 relegation. Just trying to soak it in/enjoy it for as long as it lasts. Middlesbro another example (Mowbray connection!) of a club turned sour.
I hope you are right, but Rotherham have a lot more Championship experience than us, and I don't think it's a given that we will finish above them (although I obviously hope so). They were the only team we played against (over 2 games) last season that I felt we were struggling against.
Yes - bonded the team and fans. I was in Malta following the game on my phone (I'd won tickets to go in one of the boxes at Pompey as well - gave them to a mate!) - couldn't believe it how events unfolded. Fantastic point.
Pompey fans really don't like him though (it's a bit of the 'divine right' syndrome) and some have not forgiven him for bringing on a defender for an attacker against us when we had 9 men!
