Strangely, there was a time where I wasn't massively keen on Clive, but over the course of our recent seasons I'm absolutely sold on him. He's been there for so many great moments recently it's hard to imagine anyone else doing it.
To be fair to Clive, Murray Walker made a career out of doing that kind of thing, and he's rightly globally lauded as one of the greatest sports commentators of all time.
Fair play to him, he did something nobody else seemed interested in doing and hit one first time instead of taking ten touches to sort it first. How many times tonight did we have a chance to have a first time shot that nobody had the courage to take on.
No excuse for missing the handball. Right in front of him, clear view of it.
Wouldn't say he was as bad as the absolute cockwomble we had at the weekend, mind you. But still hugely frustrating.
Summing that up honestly, so many players had off nights tonight, looked like we'd run out of steam. Crossing, poor. Everybody wants to take a touch when there's a first time shot on. Sloppy on possession at times.
But, you know what? It doesn't matter! Think that's 13 points we've picked up...
