American billionaire John McEvoy considers bid for club

Worth pointing out he is one of 17 people in an ownership group and it doesn't appear to be disclosed anywhere how large any individual in that groups stake is. That is in the process of being changed as its proven unworkable.

Wasps going into admin & the impact on CCFC

Who manages the stewards, we could agree to pay them directly although that would be more money we'd never see back from Wasps. Catering is outsourced isn't it so not paid directly by Wasps / ACL and in any case a game can go ahead without the bar being open. Which staff are actually vital to...

Wasps going into admin & the impact on CCFC

One of the articles that was linked earlier in the thread said they kept getting consultants in regarding the refinancing knowing they had no hope of paying them. At what point would they be classed as trading insolently?

    Things that annoy you

Worse than that. Ticketmaster are a LiveNation company so the same group of companies owns or operates the venues, books the artists and sells the tickets. And of course the artist gets charged for all these services on top of the money they make from the fees charged.

    Things that annoy you

its a historical thing. back in the day every venue had a physical box office you could go to and buy tickets. except if you didn't live locally that was a pain so other places would sell tickets, like poster place in Cov, and there would be a booking fee added which the place selling the...

Wasps going into admin & the impact on CCFC

As far as I'm aware none of the proposed deals to buy Wasps and / or the stadium involve Wasps leaving the city. Which bidder do you suggest is the best option for CRFC?

Wasps going into admin & the impact on CCFC

The local media should be pressing SISU on why they aren't trying to buy the stadium if it is available. Don't give them the chance to say 'we didn't know it was up for sale' and keep claiming they're building a new stadium when someone else buys it.

Wasps going into admin & the impact on CCFC

So that's two potential buyers who have said they will only buy Wasps after admin and there's already pressure after that idiot opened his mouth on BT Sport to ensure that get relegated if they go into admin as nobody believes this 'it was all down to covid' rubbish. Does Ashley have any...

You might be thinking of Birmingham Council, they owned the NEC but they needed money after they lost a court case about underpaying female employees and it was sold of to cover the cost of that.

Wasps going into admin & the impact on CCFC

Very strong smell. We've quickly moved from everything is sorted with HSBC to refinance the bonds, to there's def no possibility of administration, to multiple investors being interested to selling the club & stadium as one, to selling the club & stadium as one but only after administration, to...

the ones I want to see involved are AEG. not only would we get some decent gigs there would be a decent chance they'd buy us as well. they also tend to develop around their venues with bars, restaurants, cinemas etc.

Wasps going into admin & the impact on CCFC

Also if, as it seems, there is a stadium up for sale in the city why are the Telegraph and CWR not hammering SISU? They should be saying you want to own a stadium in the city, there's one for sale far cheaper than you can ever hope to build one. Put up or shut up.

Wasps going into admin & the impact on CCFC

If the rugby club get separated from the stadium you have to wonder about their long term future here. There wouldn't be much to tie them to a stadium far too big for them in a city where they aren't exactly welcomed with open arms and have little history. At what point does whoever end up...
