The chances of this going ahead are 50/50 at best. Hyam and Allen on the bench: Robins' record seems to be that no matter how good you are, if the team wins in your absence then you go to the subs bench first, even if you then get brought on during the game. He has been fairly consistent about...

    Transfer Rumour Matt Godden

The lifespan of any player, let alone a striker, at one club at this level seems to be about 2 years. If so 28 is no obstacle. A two year deal and if we get promoted in either year, we can offload quite easily. I wonder how well any striker will do as a sole striker, whoever they are. McNulty...

Listening to the number of loanees scoring for other teams this afternoon, to not have even one in for the first day does seem a bit remiss.

Robins is good at managing expectations. I don't mind a loan striker. Such is the turnover of players at this level, permanent or otherwise, staying a year is quite a decent stint! Armstrong and Murphy were both loans.

    looked lightweight at SWindon

    Bayliss off?

e Exactly. Two loan players as good as the three we had by the end of last season and we will be in reasonable shape. All L1 clubs are in this position - living on the edge

    New attacking targets.

Loans x 2. And nobody we have ever heard of - as with Sterling, Bright, Thomas et al. The B'ham thing will be less of an issue. WE have none at the moment and two or three is the norm in L 1.

I'm with Mr Panda. A nervy 1-0 win. No Kast and Hyam but hopefully Kelly and Allen both fit. I thought Westbrooke did quite a good job playing out of position as a defensive midfielder against Swindon, even if he looks quite slight. I would not worry too much if he is needed in that role. Also...

    Bright Enobakhare

If I was Bright, or his agent, we would not be first choice but be good to have in the back pocket should nothing better turn up. At his age, and with that talent, Bright needs exposure. He just wants it at a team as high up the leagues as possible. So if I was him I'd sit and wait until the...
