    LIAM WALSH

But that was League 1 and three four years ago. He has averaged 12/13 games a season aged 24,25 and 26. That's appalling. Avoid, avoid, avoid. Our wage structure can't afford that dismal return. Also equally dismal before he joined us. 25 appearances in one season a career highlight.

Transfer Rumour Coventry after Aussie sensation

Are fans really making up songs for players we haven't even signed yet? 😭 Some people obviously don't know how to get the most out of their lives 😂

    LIAM WALSH

Yes he did well for us and remember in League 1. He really isn't a positive option for a Championship side with aspirations of the play offs or even an automatic place.

    Summer transfer window 2024

But we had our best spell without him. With Fadz you would have had to play three CB which would have compromised us in other areas. Even Blackburn fans don't see him as an option going forward into next season. Just a sign of how broke they are if they renew his contract.

That isn't quite true of Palmer as some of his appearances are loan spells with other clubs. So for instance 2018/19 Blackburn 14. Bristol 15. Palmer's average over 8 seasons is 25. Between 2016 and 2019 his parent club was Chelsea and he made no appearances for them, but did have various...

We may as well have just given Kelly another contract. So many city fans are obsessed we our ex players, I just don't get it.

    Summer transfer window 2024

Where as Fadz was the glue with Doyle and McNally, he was a big part of the problem in the new defence this season.

    LIAM WALSH

Struggles to make 20 appearances a season. Forget him as an option. We know DK is not into big squads, so we can't risk carrying someone like this. Play and pay contracts? Do they still exist?

    Summer transfer window 2024

He was our best and most versatile CB last year

You look after yourself too. Hope you are recovering as hoped.

    Summer transfer window 2024

Surely it is a better long term spend and strategy though? Than say Bolton, doing their utmost to chase the Premier dream and almost going out of existence by just spunking money on players - not once but twice!

Sisu make official complaint over Coventry councillors' conduct

That is an interesting problem. Initially both sides were new feet under the table with a lot to sort out and both probably playing hardball I think the five year deal probably suited both sides in the short term. How it pans out will be interesting as both sides need each other. Hopefully...

Sisu make official complaint over Coventry councillors' conduct

That was the point I was making. Going back a few posts someone questioned why SISU hadn't cashed in on players before selling? Because they could not sell an asset stripped shell. I agree with you, yes he has had to put some money in, but there is still potential for him to get decent...

    Season tickets for 2024/2025 season

At the season ticket selling stage, the danger is we are just going to spread people out over a larger area with gaps appearing in-between. The proof will be match days and can those gaps be plugged by attracting more fans than we had in the 2023-2024 season.

    Season tickets for 2024/2025 season

That question will be more relevant at the end of the early bird window and again just before the first match of the season.

Sisu make official complaint over Coventry councillors' conduct

Has anybody said the money owed was from Otium? It is just something people have said. But like most rumours on here I take with a large pinch of salt It might be a silly story? But my main point is still valid regarding the sale of players. Why would he have wanted to buy an asset...

Sisu make official complaint over Coventry councillors' conduct

If it is true that the sale of the club by SISU to King was to pay off a debt owed? They could hardly do that by handing over an asset stripped shell. I suspect the value of the club was less than the debt but contained enough potential for King to accept it.

How did We'll Live and Die in these Towns start before kick offs?

The Enemy basically ripped off the riff of That's Entertainment by The Jam But it has given us an impactive pre kick off chant. So a win win.
