"Coventry City owners lead club to Northampton and towards the abyss"

Doesn't it all come down to the point that both sides have their version of events - whose is correct we are no closer to knowing.

"Coventry City owners lead club to Northampton and towards the abyss"

Maybe some of his statements are true but again the lack of real clarity from either side (and at times misdirection) has made things more difficult for anyone to follow. Some examples from his comments. ACL wasn't offered 14 million by SISU for a share. SISU spoke to Yorkshire bank about the...

    Judicial Review

Doesn't it make the overall thing more confusing? Why was Joy prepared to make an offer for 50% of the ACL back then but now it's the freehold or nothing? The financial argument put forward (since the rent strike and moving to Northampton) about needing to control all income streams and having...

    Rioch and Noon both gone

It's worth pointing out a few things. 1. The EPP academy system is in its infancy and the effects of the scheme won't be seen for a while. Levels are determined by how much clubs can afford to invest in it rather than any reflection of the quality of current academies. 2. Some players have been...

The Price of an Exclusive is Reid and Thorne downfall

PWKH - my understanding was that the Higgs Trust accepted the CVA (as a separate creditor) but the ACL didn't. As 50% of ACL was the Higgs Trust position at odds with the Council's? If so why?

The Price of an Exclusive is Reid and Thorne downfall

Right I still don't get this. The separate accounts for Ltd and Holdings post-2008 state what the principle activities of each part is. Ltd is the football part. All costs associated with buying, selling and employing players were in Ltd. Various directors including Fisher signed off on the...

We'll Come Back To The Ricoh...

The administrator & SISU keep referring to the ownership of assets at the time of the administration but surely the issue would be the transfer of assets from the time of te last published accounts until the administration started? I'm sure PWKH had stated earlier that the meeting with Seppala...

New post: FOI responses expose Coventry City Football Club’s “new stadium plans”

A lot of people seem to think that SISU are just after the stadium & land. Apart from having something on which AVRO can secure some more of the debt what do people think SISU can do that the ACL can't? If the Ricoh etc. is such a potential goldmine for SISU then why can't it be for ACL?

    SISU and transfer betting

stand to be corrected but wasn't Ranson behind Registered European Football Finance ltd who lent the club money against player registrations back in 2001? Certainly the company appeared on city accounts pre-SISU as a creditor.

One guy speaks passionately about our situation. Then as usual with the media the next one in about 5 seconds manages to turn the conversation back to the Premiership wittering on about what shirts Southampton will play in.

    Waggott on CWR this morning

have we actually been liquidated yet? Holdings also didn't post accounts which is the bit that now does the player trading. So they weren't under embargo as well?

    Waggott on CWR this morning

what's the difference with Portsmouth then - they went through all that business with not putting kids on the bench and not having enough players to fil the bench?

Ricoh Arena 'very profitable' even without Sky Blues

QUOTE=Paxman II;515723]SISU have expressed on many occasions they will fund the play away necessity of Northampton in the big picture they are undertaking so why would you think Boycotting Northampton will have any effect? how does that work with FFP?

Ricoh Arena 'very profitable' even without Sky Blues

If ACL reckon they can maintain a profit with the club only having to pay a rent of 150k then it shouldn't be too difficult for them to replace that income. Not having the football club does free up the stadium part all year round for alternative uses.
