Shipley left foot not in tune is it? But playing well. Walsh not evident much, they have plenty of the ball.

Match Thread Coventry City vs. Doncaster Rovers Match Thread - Saturday 28th Sep

First home draw. But I hope not. We have hadthe break, a little reset as M's says and we should be ready to rock and roll with confidence. The danger is complacency after 10 days off.

Championship - Where would we be

Pessimist again most of you. Charlton are doing OK. I think we would do OK. Football isn't always as it appears on paper. Teams can have very good runs even when you can't quite see why. Bournemouth are a classic case. They don't have star players compartively to others and likely will sell...

    Jamie Allen

I don't see how Shipley gets in the side when everyone is fit.

Would another promotion propel Robins into the same legendary status as Jimmy Hill

It would be a remarkable acheivement should he do so. Through the divisions and under such circumstances off the pitch. That would make him a legend for sure. Comparing him to JH though would be irresponsible. JH changed the football club forever, the experience, the identity, and set precedents...

    NEXT 5 FIXTURES (28th SEPT-23rd OCT)

At the start of the season you can't tell what are really tough games until you see how teams settle. Now looking at the next 5 it looks like a really tough cycle! Come out of that with 10 or 12 points and we will be serious contenders. It's early doors still but we face competitors there and we...

Match Thread Coventry City vs. AFC Wimbledon Match Thread - Tuesday 17th Sep

Funny old game as I said earlier and 'class' to tell in the end, so it proved. Stats are amazing with 70/30 %? We still have Allen to make his debut, Jones to return and Kelly. Just wondering what playing with a back 3 would be like...

Match Thread Coventry City vs. AFC Wimbledon Match Thread - Tuesday 17th Sep

Ordinarily I would say a difficult game and they will park the bus and look for a point, a sneaky breakaway win being a bonus. But I think we are a different class from last season and have the ability to play against this type of team and be victorious. I would expect a 2 or 3 nil win. Of...

    O’Hare

I think he will start on Tuesday.

    Top of the league

There is far too much 'glass half empty' on here instead of half full. MR's has clearly done things right and stepped it up a gear from last season with better recruitment, and I think far too many on here fear opposition teams and their credentials for promotion instead of realising we are...

...and i have to disagree with Oggy. O'Hare should have started, think we would have won then. Waiting to lose b4 changing seeems silly. Must be brave with decision making and ruthless.

Very good first half. Tired second but still effective.

Definately want O'Hare starting Tuesday. Mason back would give us more outlet on the ball than a very good Mc.Callum effort.

Match Thread Burton Albion vs. Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 14th Sep

Think we had a slightly off day tbf and Burton at home were not that good other than in periods when we sat back. Think callers are giving Burton too much credit. If you were a home fan you would be pleased you did not lose it and should have when Kasteneer missed. We will be better next game.

They were the home side remember. We should have won that when Kastaneer was through with a glorious chance and should have scored. But we have more in the tank for sure and will improve further. Yet here we are top. So confidence grows even more.
