First time on it. Very nice. Might crack out the ouzo later, now you mention it, but it never tastes the same when not taken on a broiling day overlooking the Aegean. Roll on the day we can do that again.

Yes, 34-33. Scoreline irrelevant, but good to get some game time into legs after the best part of a year. Some well-worked tries too.

Not keen on their stuff. Just now, a Tiny Rebel with added passion fruit. I like.

Friday night is beer night. Kaiju Brewery (Melbourne) Metamorphosis IPA. 6.7% Very hoppy (very Simcoe!) bitter, but with an underlying malt sweetness. Lingering aftertaste, in a good way. Recommended.

House Renovations - Hints / Tips / Recommendations

I was lucky enough to have a decent payoff from the Jag, which I supplemented with some cash from pension pots which I took early. Like I say though, we basically stole it. It was a shithole when we got it, but absolutely beautiful when we sold it.

What Marty says. I did a 1919 bungalow about 10 years ago. It took a year all told, and needed everything doing - water, heating, plastering throughout, re-roofing on the extension and the covered terrace at the back, some floors lifting/relaying, rewiring. The whole front of it was sinking into...

Talent is talent. I don't listen to much either, but he was undoubtedly a huge talent and a major influence for decades.

Already a member, so that lets me out! Generally very happy with the selections, and the accompanying magazines. Had one or two duffers though.

Sam Lewis (lock/back row) in on loan from Leicester Tigers. Good catch, that, and very much needed. Edit - they appear to have had a change of heart and announced the other six incoming DRs too, presumably after seeing that Leicester had let the cat out of the bag... Couple of locks, a scrum...

    Things that annoy you

The builders that ran a hose across the road and connected it to my daughter's outside tap certainly annoyed her the other day. Cheeky fecks. She's on a meter too, so it probably cost her 20p! :)

What are you currently listening to?

You were lucky! (Not a Python sketch ;) ). The only music in our house was played through a valve wireless (which had all the stations printed on the glass tuning scale, as they did) and that was always tuned to Sing Something Simple or similar. We didn't have a record player until I started...

Even after having slept on it, I'm not changing my mind. Very disappointing, but maybe it was a rogue can. Well in date though. It's put me off them anyway! Do try the DDH if you get chance though.

What are you currently listening to?

And I have precisely none! Not that I dislike them (I love many of their songs, and have a lot of Harrison and Lennon stuff), I just never liked an album in its entirety enough to buy one. I was always one of the Stones kids in the Stones/Beatles wars in the Longford Park school playground in...
