In very hot conditions we played with good energy and looked bright both halves. In fact we looked the better side through out and unlucky not to get a goal.
In all honesty pre season friendlies don't tell you a lot, but it was a good workout.
I think it's good we have an early season friendly where the opposition are playing like Preston 😂
The coming season won't be a walk in the park so good to have a bit of edge in the game.
Carr has a good CV in fairness. But let's be honest fans haven't got a clue who the coaching staff is at clubs up and down the country and who is good and who isn't? I bet a lot of fans couldn't name the coaches who were working for England and Southgate at the Euro's?
One reason I like to...
I think it's what the club needs moving forward whether Robins is in the equation or not? These things can be the difference between landing a target or not landing a target.
You can't claim to have Premier League aspirations when you are operating like a League 2 club. If you want success...
It is a tough league, but think we should be somewhere in the top 8. Can't see us being in auto's but should be competing for a top 6 finish.
If we lose a couple early in season some are going to need serious counselling on here. Also someone will be saying this is a must win game before...
This notion that still exists that Palmer doesn't 'harry' is nonsense. He is one of our best pressing players. He may not be running constantly like O'Hare but uses his energy intelligently. Palmer is one of our most aggressive midfield players.
Obviously because that would not fit the 5 year plan??? Promotion doesn't have to be instant but he will expect us to be at least competitive in the top half. Although progress won't strictly be measured by league position.
Have always been a fan of Palmer but I think of someone comes in he is the most likely to be moved on. I also think Allen can give slightly more options as a squad player.
