1 x Centre back off a flat back four...

Exactly what I was thinking. Sterry, Willis, Turnbull, Page seems decent enough to me. Strengthened more so when Stokes is fit. Vlad and McCann in the middle, Reid left, Jones right, Sordell and big Dan up top.

Free agents-could make a team from these!

From that lot; McCarthy, Gerrard, Spence, Taylor, Wabara are not totally unrealistic options for experienced additions to our under 12's back line. Hammond, Tabb, Becchio, Burke, Dobbie, Hoillett from the midfield and Zamora and Miller up top. Quite remarkable to think that some of the calibre...

Match Thread Millwall v Coventry Match Thread - Saturday 10th Sep

Can't see anything other than a defeat at present.. 2-0 to the animals but back to back home wins follow lifting the seemingly ever present storm clouds.... Temporarily. :(

Squad compared to 12 months ago

I think Jones will turn out to be a more consistent match winner/game changer than Murphy was plus he's ours. Big Dan has also looked a very good acquisition so far and over a season I'm hopeful he can go on to get around 15. He also has less of burden than AA had, with Sordell and the lad...

    Frank Nouble is back

Released by yet another club! And he's how old? It's a shame because on his day he's decent enough at this level and there is clearly some talent in there, but I'd hazard a guess that his attitude and inconsistency will continue to be his downfall. Wouldn't have him back here petsonally, he's...

    Rushian Hepburn-Murphy

Strange.. Went from being a 'deal almost done' to nothing. Hope that isn't the end of our business until January (not including unattached).

I'm glad you got in there before me! Both WHU goals were horrendous to concede from our perspective!

Match Thread Fleetwood v Coventry Match Thread - Saturday 3rd Sep

Season gets up and running with a 1-2 victory. Sordell to open his account with Turnbull adding his 3rd in a week to keep on top of the scoring charts!

    Jamie sterry

I think I read something earlier to suggest this is true. Another made up rule to suit this bloody competition. In this instance it'll benefit us in the league for a change.

    Outgoing

I think this would seriously piss a lot of people off, me included. He's had a great start to the season after such a long injury lay off. Would hope to get the best out of him for at least a season before the Wankers flog him.

Good point, silly comment from me.

    Incoming

Happy with the Sterry signing, needed cover in this area although DKE has been decent for someone with so little experience. An attacking midfielder and a shit hot young striker/centre half and I think we're there. Hopefully no outgoings unless Nuneaton lose their minds and carry out an...

Absolute jobsworth's. Not only do they make you walk through 1 of 2 specific turnstiles this year but they then check your ticket as soon as you get to the top of the stairs. I even popped to the gents on Saturday and they asked me again when I came back!

    Transfer window

Page's deliveries into the box were spot on time and time again on Saturday. I'd say he is a significant improvement on Haynes, who at this moment in time is nowhere near good enough to be in a first eleven at league one level. Good signing imo so far.

Rose out injured for 'weeks, if not months'

Which from memory went unpunished! Appalling refereeing as usual.
