Supporters' group tells Coventry City FC owners to clarify stadium plans

all these numbers from Fletcher & Richardson re:land purchase and decontamination are not close to being right. Land purchase, decontamination and infrastructure costs alone were just over 43 million and the Tesco sale was just under 60 million.

    Armstrong staying

The lad's 18 years old. Can't see what could be better for his development than having a full season starting in a side that is doing well + working with an experienced manager. It would take a fairly cynical manager to bring him back to Newcastle and expose him to being the focus of attention...

    Ethics Commitee Meeting Tomorrow

can somebody sensibly briefly describe the purpose of this hearing, what are possible outcomes, what relevance it has to any other ongoing legal disputes and whether it has any impact on existing Ricoh/ACL ownership/tenancy?

Capacity in the unlikely hood of a new stadium should be ?

if you simplify the catering income to 23 home games (I know it's year round etc.) then with av. crowds of 27k the average SPEND is around 2 pound a person which is what TF told the SCG a couple of years ago. catering income has always been a bit of a red herring.

    Bigi signs

I like the move. 1. it's a player we know. 2. It's proactive - not sitting back and having to react to situations hastily when things get out of hand. i think this shows the difference between Mowbray and other recent managers who haven't had big club/higher league experience. 3. A bit more...

    France terrorist attack beheading

"Having faith as an individual is fine, but it is organsied religion where it all goes horribly wrong and people put faith in the letter of the 'law' from books that were written a thousand years ago and more." Hit the nail on the head - particularly as all these texts were written by people...

    France terrorist attack beheading

latest reports are that it was a self-contained cell that had returned from Syria. Let's hope UK govt is doing a better job keeping an eye on the 100s of UK nationals that have returned from Syria - or is that a breach of their human rights?

Schengen countries seem to disagree. Nothing to stop anyone arriving in Portugal for example and driving anywhere else without having documents checked.

    France terrorist attack beheading

wrong on so many levels. The current crisis particularly in Syria & Iraq is Muslim on muslim (Shia v. Sunni). The massacres of minority groups in Syria and Iraq have nothing to do with Coca Cola or KFC etc. Last night's attacks seem to be about France's involvement in a bombing campaign against...

Poll: Stay at Ricoh Or Take Butts stadium?

what sort of revenue streams is a 12-15k stadium going to produce year round? Let's forget the F&B income as Fisher told the SCG that the average SPEND was under 2 pounds a head.

    Marton Fulop RIP

Marton had been fighting hard against cancer for a while. I had the privilege of meeting up him here in Hungary and he always spoke warmly of his time with us - although wasn't above taking the piss when we were losing. Suppose it said something that he kept an eye on our results. I hadn't seen...

    Memories From '87

Went to every game (in what was a season that should also be remembered for some really good football including the Spurs league game at Xmas 4-3). Couldn't get tickets for the final until a Luton Town director came to stay in the hotel I was working at the week before the final and gave me his...
