Isn't that what O'Hare is supposed to do. With a limited budget, why duplicate? Fill the holes first

The comparison with Bright is not necessarily positive. He was a lovely player to watch, and scored a couple of good goals, but I thought he pulled the midfield out of shape. It ceased being a team, and became all about him. So, for all Robins ability to get results out of difficult players, I...

Mind you wasn't that another young star in the making I saw playing there - Ben, what was his name now?

Rather than just picking names, isn't it better to identify where the main needs are, and then decide whether those names being mooted fit the identified need? Just because a player may be good, doesn't men they meet a need. Or is that too sensible? We want imho 1. Firepower up front - which...

    Next 4 league games....

We are at 23 games - half way - and on points per game, 17th. I suspect somewhere a couple of places higher would be great by the season end. Of our results so far this season beating the much better placed Reading sticks out as the oddball. Conversely we should do much better in the reverse...

As I was at the 4-1 in Mowbray's time, I'm going for a repeat, Hamer to chip the goalie, rather than Armstrong. Actually, no I'm not. 1-0 to them - queue the meltiest of all meltdowns on here Incidentally, and it should be no surprise I guess, interesting to see how fickle opinion is on here -...

    1. We are fighting to escape the relegation zone 2. But we currently have one of the tightest, if not the most tight, defence in the Championship 3. Why on earth then would you want to change it by bringing in Giles? 4. Mark Robins is Sam Allardyce's secret love child.

Godden, Walker, Max & Baka. Only Walker has the potential to be a good Championship striker. None of them are right now, OK'ish at best

The back 5 has been possibly the tightest defence in the Championship of late - notwithstanding the poor quality of recent opposition. So they are nailed on unchanged. We only have one player with the speed to break a defensive line - Giles. Can he be accomodated? He made the equaliser against...

Cardiff would have been 0-0 but for a Cardiff defensive blunder. Classic stuff - go for the draw, and nick the win if you can This run has been built on being strong in defence, crap to watch, and hoping to nick one. We have been forced to attack when we have gone behind - Norwich & Derby - but...

I also don't trust any combination of three midfielders, of the ones we have fit, keeping it tight for 90 minutes. Therefore I'd play 4 in the middle. To 'have a go' would mean weakening the central midfield defensively. 0-0 is all we need.

That dreaded sentence 'would really like to have a go' There is no evidence that Robins ever does that. The good results are because we have done the exact reverse to 'having a go'. Sit back, pack the defence, get the draw. Job done.
