    Match Thread Middlesbrough

It was but it was also really good skill from him to create the opening. He ducked and let the long ball from Leo bounce over his head before spinning and leaving the defender for dead as he collected the headed pass from Godden to create a 3-on-2; then it was a total waste.

I’ve got DAZN too but completely forgot to look there! Thanks for the reminder ;-)

    Bournemouth game selected for tv

It’s great for the club to get additional money but a pain for overseas fans. I paid 140 euros for an iFollow season ticket and neither cup game nor last night’s match or the upcoming Bournemouth match were/are available. Don’t think it’s unjust in those cases to look for a stream.

    Podcast Bobby Gould Special

I listened to Bobby Gould on Quickly Kevin (a brilliant pod) so assume it's not radically different from that. All credit to the SBE team for the work they've put in over the last six months ago bringing us some interesting podcast material. As the guys get more experienced, hopefully they...

    IMPORTANT: Downtime tonight

Thanks for the update, Nick. The old save to app shortcut no longer directs to the correct page. I’ve created a new one but it doesn’t have the CCFC badge - is this something you can remedy please? Will the ‘go to first unread’ feature return too?

Podcast Kieran Maguire Special: CCFC Finances

Massive thanks to the SBE podcast team for the work they’ve put in producing some excellent pods over the last few months. This one was particularly interesting so kudos for coming up with this idea and delivering.

    Julien Dacosta - CONFIRMED

I just found this from a game v Valenciennes in September: Valenciennes FC - Chamois Niortais (1-1) / Résumé - 2019/2020 Not a great advert: he falls over trying to defend a cross into the box early on and then picks up a second yellow for a wild lunge from which Valenciennes equalised.

    Gustavo Hamer - CONFIRMED

I sent a note to a Dutch mate who works in football in the Netherlands. He said Zwolle fans are gutted to see Hamer leave as he’s easily their best player. He said Hamer played in six positions last season, is obviously really versatile, and should do really well in England.

Will we even see any of it?

LaLiga president talking about potentially having fans as early as July; Hungarian Cup final had fans last week. UK behind those countries unfortunately but looks very likely that fans will be back in in some capacity before Christmas.

    Favourite moment of the season

I've followed most of this season on iFollow as I live abroad but was there for two of the many great moments this season: Kastaneer's fantastic goal (especially in light of what followed...) early in the campaign v Bristol Rovers and (one of my favourite City goals of all time) Godden's...

I took Joe to his first game - the 5-1 v Liverpool. We beat Villa 3-0 in the next match and I had to sit him down and explain to him that it isn't always like this!

My uncle was and is mates with George's brother. George was in the running for the Turner Prize in 2011 which was a fantastic achievement. I've got a coffee table book of his prints.

Black Prince pub in tile hill

Set back in the woods on Tile Hill Lane a bit, down from Tile Hill College and pretty much opposite Hereward College if you’re driving down the hill towards Assumption school.

He wasn’t there for the opening but he filmed a short film there called Bouncers which you can watch on YouTube - think it was based on something written by Geoff Thompson.

    Get Shirty

Thanks for the tip. Watched it today and thought it was brilliant. The chances of bumping into Leeds training and getting Don Revie to say yes there and then!
