I spike to my Japanese colleague this morning - we have made the Japanese press 🤣 "Coventry is one of the powerhouses in EFL, but it couldn't slightly get a ticket to the Premier league. Sakamoto will contribute to boost to Premier as a side attacker" His view from when he watched him for the...

There's definitely a song to turning Japanese, something like: He's got you turning up and turning down, And turning left and turning right. We've got Tatsu Sakamoto, we've got tatsu Sakamoto I really think so

No absolutely not. I meant more that the experience isn't limited to FM generally and that Asian markets can be incredibly lucrative.

Just look at the crowd at a Spurs game and you'll have an answer. The volume of South Korean fans and flags at games to see Son is testament to it.

I actually managed to convert 5 of my coworkers in Tokyo across to following us. I was working out there this year and football was our common ground. I walk into work most Mondays to an MS teams chat discussing the coventry result. The Japanese team they all followed is a horror show though...

But if the club had signed a shirt sponsor at championship levels and then been promoted we would've been blasted as being amateur - Which I think we all know is the hold up with the kit?

I'm not arguing he shouldn't invest, but the idea that transfer fees shouldn't be used to mitigate losses is frankly, nonsense.

You're expecting an external party to indefinitely fund operating losses. What happens if he runs out of money? What happens if he gets bored? Football fans clamour for owners to pump millions in, yet grumble at an extra hundred themselves - just look at the hypocrisy of GIMOC around the price...

Because in the long run, that's sustainable and not worrisome.

I'm not sure that it's that cut and dry. He clearly has a preference for Sporting, but if Atalanta or a Prem side come in and its laid plain - them or us then I don't think he stays.

Just to be clear I mean for other clubs. Obviously if Sporting walk away then they have reached their ceiling. They aren't the only club interested however.

Completely and utterly incorrect. We set the price. If anything, the opposite is true and the basement price has been set.

Injury is factored into his valuation, that's part of how ypu make the informed choice. If he does an ACL, he knows his value drops - he may even sign a new contract here as a result.

So you're advocating for losing your bottle and take the offer? There is next to no chance that Sporting walk away completely and even less chance that he sits out his contract. We know Sporting have more cash, they've just sold a striker to PSG. We know they're all in, cause of the media...

I genuinely don't understand why people are clamouring to pass up on the money? Even an extra 500k is vital to our club, on the playing and non-playing side. Its refreshing in my eyes that we are not backing down and we are squeezing every penny out of a deal.
