I was at that - it was awful (I want to say Gordon Strachan was manager at the time, but my memory is thankfully hazy)

I'm trying to look at it that he'll be pumped and ready for PNE and Millwall.

    Sheaf

Sheaf does also make tackles; that challenge on the Wycombe forward who broke through and looked like he would equalise was a great bit of defensive cover. Also agree that with his unhurried languid style contrasts so much to Hamer's low centre of gravity quick bursts. that he's an easy target...

That can't be right, because as certain posters will tell you, a decent forward would have scored that🤔😂

Another shout out for O'Hare's disruption of some of their attacks. Works his nuts off.

Even if it all goes wrong for us on Saturday, with Rotherham playing Derby we will still be either 5 or 6 points clear of one of those two. If we draw it will mean a 6/7 point gap, and a win would open up a big gap on one or both of them. Think MR is going to make sure there are fresh legs, play...

Totally agree. Bannan aside (and he's been playing poorly) midfield is also Wednesday's weakest area, so playing long in the absence of Kelly/Hamer (and down the wings) may be the way to go. Interesting to see how we line up (particularly as they will have had an extra day's rest)

Not good. Eccles recall in January? As cover for Hamer/Sheaf?

Dabo is playing from memory. He clearly isn't 100% but is putting his body on the line twice a week. Kudos to the guy, who really needs a rest, but we haven't got cover for him. First game he'll get a break will be the Norwich cup tie (if he hasn't broken down before)

Not sure I would have trusted nearly 20 mins of DaCosta - baby steps.

All 3 above us, so not definite 'expected' wins. Last year we were playing Southend, Bolton and Rochdale.

Can't appeal a yellow, but that was never a booking - rubbish decision and not Hamer's fault. Good point - need to bring in Giles and play 2 up top versus Wednesday. Sheaf may look a bit slow, but won some good defensive headers.

The main danger is if our midfield get pushed back and sit too close to the defence. One deflection and it can cause problems. Hamer. O'Hare and McCallum most likely to lead our breakaways. MR won't change it I don;t think (unless we go behind) but Walker needs some support'
