SBT Awards: Goal of the Season Nomination Thread (Voting now Open)

Walsh v Rochdale was truly magnificent and Max v Peterborough was stunning. We have been blessed with some beauties. I can’t remember a season where we have seen so many quality team and individual goals. Godden via Shipley for me was the highlight.

    When does next season start?

That is one point of view. The championship sides will have a 56 game season for most and a 58 or 59 game season for the play off teams. Our season will be 46 games and fresh. Time will tell.

    SISU

let’s get back home, let’s get behind the club and team and support the next phase of our evolution. We are not out of the woods yet but thankfully faith has been restored in our club and we can all take pride in the Mark Robins era. Success just a year ago was survival as a club, well in...

    CHAMPIONS!

When your own fans sing Noel, Noel, that is the name of that bastard Cantwell then you know he was an unpopular manager. But kudos for getting us into Europe.

    Happy League Champions Day

From the last days of Jimmy Hill to today I have been proud to be a Coventry City fan and there is no greater feeling than what I feel right now. No home, fractured support, never lower than in 2017 under Slade, now Mark Robins and his staff and the team deserve eternal love like the 67 and 87...

EFL to end season this week - City likely to be promoted

You mean like when euros and world cups are played? There is nothing to stop games happening-see Bundesliga as an example.

EFL to end season this week - City likely to be promoted

Why the shade towards Tranmere? They got to the league cup final and were nearly promoted in 99 I think it was. They were non league and have done very well in pulling themselves out of their spiral and deserve every credit. Damn fine owners as well. A good model for us to follow.

EFL to end season this week - City likely to be promoted

I have formed the view that if we can play the games we should do and try and finish the season, if not, then there is no reason why we shouldn’t be promoted as per the league two decision. It is imperative that league one and two outcomes are aligned otherwise other issues will arise. I have...

    Highfield Road

Let’s be brutally frank, just about everything that could go wrong has gone wrong at the Ricoh. The actual stadium isn’t the issue for me, it is all the shit has gone on that makes the stadium seem cursed. Highfield Road was part of my DNA, it was my soul, it was my shared experience with my...

    Motd goalkeepers

Wright carried the show last week and last night was the most interesting imo. He is also the most self depreciating and has something to say.

    Coronavirus Thread (Off Topic, Politics)

Footballers contracts are ring fenced. They are bullet proof with regards to what clubs are able to do. I don't quite get the urge to strip footballers of their salaries TBH, many of them do very good charitable things without seeking publicity and after all the clubs agree to pay them without...

    Sunderland Til' I Die

Very good follow up to season 1. I know some may disagree with me but I feel their pain, loyal supporters who just want something to hang on to. I warmed to their owner in a way that Bains fella grated on me last year. When the father said to his son we have been here before and the lady asked...

    Coronavirus Thread (Off Topic, Politics)

I am among their number and you may be surprised that I hold the same opinion as you and David O'Day response is the reason why it should be done. We are British citizens and whether we are irresponsible on vacation or choose to work overseas we are still in need of repatriation. What you may...
