    Match Thread QPR (A) Match Thread - 28th August - 3PM Kickoff

Certainly growing into one. A bit like O'Hare in that the finish isn't always there but both of them are developing very quickly. Bargain signing based on this season's performances.

Gyökeres has been a brilliant outlet so far, chasing balls down the left and winning a few corners and having a couple of shots. Continuing the amazing transformation this season. The team have been very composed across the pitch. Encouraging.

Superb start - some great one-touch football. Got a couple of mates who are QPR fans who just sent a note saying how impressed they are with us.

    QPR pre match drinking

Really good pub. Used to drink in there after playing footy in Regent’s Park. Enjoy.

Nice. The post office across the road was the police station in the Carry On films! Sorry for hijacking the thread ...

My first house was on Drayton Avenue! Drayton is a great pub with a brilliant beer garden. It used to have a theatre downstairs where all big-name comedians went to test out routines. Decent rooms and place to stay, too. Cheers.

    QPR away

I haven't read the whole thread but, as my username suggests, I used to live in Ealing. It's around 1h20-1hr30 from Cov, has plenty of parking and pubs and restaurants and it's a short hop on the central line, or the bus directly down Uxbridge Road, to Loftus Road. Could also park in Acton and...

    DO NOT boo the knee

I've had a look @Otis and it looks like the nearest training camp is in China... https://www.globaltimes.cn/content/988795.shtml

    Sheaf the Kaiser

Can we not just enjoy the pair of them both playing well? No need to compare at this point.

    Sheaf the Kaiser

I nearly said he’s playing the Beckenbauer role on the match thread. Great performance aided by the space in front of him but superb vision and versatility with the odd tackle thrown in.

What a week - two absolutely blinding games, fantastic entertainment. You just fall more in love with this team every week.

Good few minutes from Sheaf - looks like he's slotted in really well in central defence. Got to score from one of these corners at some point, too. Atmosphere sounds great.

    Match Thread Reading

Absolute clear penalty - can't see what the debate is about; totally needless, mind. Reading some of the comments, on here you'd think Pask is up there with Cafu - he was abysmal in some games last season and none of us know how fit he is whereas Robins probably has a decent idea. Main...

Don't think it's Robins' first choice - Rose got injured yesterday and JCS in the warm-up by all accounts so he was forced into it (Drysdale also injured).

Was a poor pass from Hamer to Waghorn when we were playing the ball out but too easy from there. Dabo didn't need to make the challenge as McFadz had it covered. We've played well, though, so keep going as we have been.

What a corner - not many in the country better at corners when Hamer is putting them in like this. Could easily have been 1-0 there.

Take a touch there Callum! Great work but had a clear shot on goal had he controlled the pass as both defenders had fallen to the ground. Excellent start, though, and playing with real purpose and urgency.

    DO NOT boo the knee

Good post. I went to England’s EURO matches against Germany and Denmark and both times there were people around me booing the opposition’s anthem. I asked a lad before the Denmark game why he was doing it and he replied: “It’s just what you do.” It’s not though, is it? You’ve got to be a moron...

    ifollow season pass

I contacted CWR about this at the weekend. They said the pre and post-match shows were unavailable last Saturday because of Olympic coverage on the BBC and should be back to normal (ie available overseas) for today’s game.

    ifollow season pass

I couldn’t cast it last season, haven’t tried this season. I also couldn’t get it connected using HDMI and an Apple lightning cable (the picture would appear on the TV but not the sound, or the other way round).
