    SOMETHING ABOUT JR D

And now we get to do it all again with JR2. Unless SISU can prove that the Council rejected a much greater bid of theirs - with promises of nearly £13m in further investment like Wasps have supposedly made - is probably also dead in the water and going to be ridiculously drawn out. So, shall...

    Wright playing for Baggies tonight?

He is indeed. They can keep him.

    U18/U21 Development Thread

Lawton said on social media that he expects to play 90 minutes today, then will be at full fitness. Could see him in the first team squad soon with Stevenson suspended.

    Torch's Counselling Thread

Anyone who can survive Andy Thorn's tenure as Coventry City manager is a favourite to beat cancer in my book. I wish you all the best Torchy!

    Big Sam

Yep! But I thought they ran off because the Coventry Telegraph posted the names of nearly everyone involved in the paper. Wang Jianlin is worth a cool $32.8bn.

Venus does realise that playing with wing-backs is what took us to bottom of the league and got Mowbray sacked, right? Like, that exact same formation saw us fail to win in 10 games and cost his best friend in football his job. Surely it's not just me that finds this decision making ludicrous!?

That is a lot of good footballers. Just on their bench Anderson, Henry, Buxton and Taylor would probably waltz into our team haha.

    Armson & Dean

Just re-read his interview. Said that because Conference teams travel so much more (compared to North and South) it would've impacted his day job - which he enjoys - a lot more.

    Armson & Dean

That's exactly what Gaz Dean has done. Left Solihull Moors this summer after they got promoted to the Conference so he could stay as a part-time footballer and keep his job at Jaguar Land Rover.

    Armson & Dean

It's the old Chris Stokes/Robbie Simpson conundrum. Some will be good and make the grade, others will struggle - just like all transfers.

Lewis Rankin is in that Brackley team as well. Always looked impressive in the academy but never got a chance in the 1st team.

    Ratings vs scunny

Burge - 6 - A good save in the first but had little to do. Needs to improve kicking off both feet. Sterry - 7 - Was really impressive. Has come on leaps and bounds since the start of the season. Page - 6 - Solid. Did what was needed. Ideally would've been more attacking like Sterry. Willis - 6 -...

    A striker

Leicester did pretty well last season with a left-footed player on the right wing. Can't quite remember his name though... I would also love to see us try a 4-4-2. Perfect chance to try it in the FA Cup replay this week.

Quick Breakdown: - Ref was infuriating - Venus got the Starting XI horribly wrong - He also got the subs wrong - They had two chances all game, scored one of them - We wasted the entire first half. Worst we've played all season. - Agyei was awful, 0/10. Wright only marginally better - I am...

It's been said to death, but Stevenson really is quality. His calmness in possession of the ball, especially when being closed down quickly, is incredible. 95% of players at this level would panic with a man bearing down at them but he still picks the right pass instead of lofting one forward.

No chemistry at all between the front three. All sticking in their positions waiting for each other to do something, no inter-linking play at all.

Agyei is like a poor man's Dele Adebola. And that takes some doing. Looks like the slowest person on the pitch until the ball's at his feet, which is the only time he cares.
