Match Thread ⚽️ Millwall vs Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 13th Aug

Feel a lot worse after that Boddy interview. Clearly at an impasse with Wasps who won’t lay a new pitch. Says the drop-in pitches - which, as someone above pointed out, cost 4-500’000 - can be put in on a Monday and used on the Sat as Spurs did it before the opening game of the season. The club...

Viktor absolutely working his socks off up front - battling two big central defenders every time and trying to make things happen.

Not offside - good run from midfield and decision; scorer is player 39.

'Not even a foul in my day'. Looked premeditated and nasty to me but yellow right call.

Be gutted if that’s the case but it’s showing up with ‘watch now’ on my iFollow so hopefully all good.

    Wigan is off

EFL statement this morning concludes: ‘The League will now consider the circumstances of both postponements before determining what course of action could be taken in accordance with the Regulations and will also remain in regular dialogue with the Club over the work required to make the pitch...

Not sure about in the UK, @Nick, as I watch from abroad.

    Video coverage on ifollow

Sunderland game was on Sky so no iFollow video as per last season. And Carabao Cup games are never live on iFollow so again audio only. Millwall game this weekend should be streamed live assuming not selected for international broadcast which is a right pain.

    Rotherham attendance

Absolutely gutted. Booked a flight ages ago to come back. Goal was to attend the opening away game and the first home game - Sunderland at midday on a Sunday ruled that one out and last night I realised the Rotherham game had, in June, been moved to Sunday. My flight is 16.45 on the Sunday from...

Watching Sunderland game in a London pub

Thanks. Yes, The Globe not great with kids. Think we are just going to head to Wembley early and book a table at BoxPark - I’ve emailed them to ask if they have the Sunderland game on though.

Watching Sunderland game in a London pub

There is no other plan as it stands although it is a day after a strike so could be issues in the morning.

Yes, Otis! I did put that at first then thought I’d let the train thing lie … Hope you’re well.

Watching Sunderland game in a London pub

Morning all. On the day of the opening game, a group of us are going to the Women’s EURO final with the kids. We’ve booked trains to arrive into Euston at 11.15 so we can get to a pub to watch the Sunderland match. Do any of the fans based in London get together for games and have a regular pub...

    Fixtures 22/23

Hope it’s not Monday. I’ve booked flights coming over to attend the first away game, take the kids to the Women’s EURO final at Wembley that Sunday and then attend the first home game the following weekend - flying home on the Monday evening so will be gutted if that’s the opening home game.

    Gyökeres Bids

I recorded the goal from DAZN but can’t work out how to post the video so you’ll have to settle for a poor-quality still. Did well, put off a defender (Ostigård I think) and keeper and then swivelled and fired in after the keeper made a mistake.

    Championship 21/22

Got to be one of the worst things I’ve seen on a pitch. What kind of absolute fucking moron does that in a moment of such joy? Will be waking up today knowing a prison sentence is coming. Incident about 50 seconds in below:

    Transfer Shouts

Just looked back at my WhatsApp conversation from that day with a Blackburn-supporting mate. I said: ‘Van Hecke looks absolute turd.’ He replied: ‘The fans love Van Hecke he has been good for us.’

Match Thread Stoke City (A) - Sat 7th May 12:30

Whatever people might say about the CWR coverage - this is how hard the guys work. Completely empty press box and only Clive and Oggy left - I think they’ve been brilliant especially when you compare to other clubs’ commentary.

Match Thread Stoke City (A) - Sat 7th May 12:30

Not going to get too involved in the intricacies of the match as had a few but 10 mins after full time and the away end is still full. Shipley just had what looked like an emotional send-off which was great and the players and coaches have just had a brilliant reception. Personally, I’ve loved...
