need cover for Stone as well just because he doesn't seem capable of a full season. Wright performances been slipping away

sums up the hypocrisy of the situation. FIFA bleating on about player behaviour clampdown (diving, harrassing ref, dissent) pre-tournament. But the refs know they follow it through they'll be binned for this and other tournaments. Disappointment is also how weak VAR has been on these issues as well.

Sterling just not coping with the physicality of the various opposition. Plus not sure system suits him as he's not finding any open space like he can do.

FIFA failure. all the briefings inc. for refs was that this was to be clamped down on hard. Been a big negative this was WC. Tonight was worst example.

gotta away with it on pens. folded in extra time - probably worst 30 mins of football since Southgate took over. Aimless passing around back. mids getting pushed off ball when getting it from defence. Colombia powerful side who just pushed us around too much. Never a game for Sterling to start...

Feared for Japan when Godzilla came on. Japan play some lovely football Took a fluke and Japan's lack of height at the back to get Belgium back into it.

Best And Worst Of This World Cup ?

I agree. Some spectacular goals and the few good games have covered over a lot of ordinary play. Player behaviour been poor as have officials handling of it.

Article on CCFC clearly written by a Sunderland fan

been down the results list and picked out a couple of scores. probably only seen us play on the the telly and a bit forum surfing. don't think that any side in L1should particularly frighten us. gonna be another tight league when most sides should be capable of getting results.

Bids for McNulty / McNulty to Reading

it's a catch 22. Legal issues aside SISU need promotion to improve chances/price of selling club but Can't really afford to compete in Championship if they can't find buyers. Looking at Championship debt can't be too many idiots left with big pockets :)

Bids for McNulty / McNulty to Reading

nearly all speculative investment. many clubs running at over 100% of turnover paid out in wages. Large debt to owners - Football finance: Championship club-by-club. scary stuff no wonder Fisher reckoned we couldn't afford to be in Championship

Think you will find you have to nearly double that. Average in 2006 was around that. Latest deloitte figures I saw had the average around 325k (exc. bonuses) and league 1 70k.

He is a bit hit & miss. Like you don't get his action. still warks handily placed for now. Think there's an overkill of twenty20. Can't support anything prefaced Birmingham Still think it's an ill-conceived sell-out of normal Warwickshire supporters

Sums up what we probably knew already. 1st team decent, back up players average at best. Keeper remains a concern as well.
