    Fill the Ricoh v Gills

Whether it is on Sky or not... Sell it out. Would be the biggest message possible. No excuses.

Players to go with great news!

Smith, Diagouraga and a centre back will do.

    Predict the Gate

Im going to say a sell out. It would be the biggest message to send out to everyone.

    Striker signs today

Don't think we will see the best of him until he is paired with an out and out target man. Over the next few weeks he will be good to bring on to stretch teams in the last 20 mins especially if we are leading in games.

    What else do we need?

Centre midfielder, centre back and i still hold hope we will go back in for Michael Smith on deadline day.

I would have been slightly disappointed if it was a target man we were in for as i still think we may go back in for Michael Smith. Jackson would be a good acquisition if we could get him fit. Has some pace.

Suspect it is a target man we are after. Harrison sounds more realistic.

Van Gaal started with this and has just sacked it off after it's failed miserably. Hope Pressley is watching.

Think we will lose to Sheff Utd today and Barnsley in the week. 3-1 loss today.

Ryton press conference from 9.30am today

Must be a free agent you would suspect which would probably suggest we really have given up on Michael Smith.

    Paper this morning claims...

Its in the sun. Claims we are 'in talks' and could be back by 6th Sept. Makes sense to me. Tomorrow and Tuesday come too soon. The 6th is then the next home game against Gillingham.

Did SP sign the wrong players?

Last year he seemed to acknowledge that pace was essential... and this year he seems to almost have forgotten about this.

Deadline for SISU to confirm appeal to Court of Appeal?

Sure the Telegraph have reported it is tomorrow.

    Cardiff Match Thread

The front two were so isolated because of how we were set up it's very harsh to slag off McQuoid. Swanson was pretty dire up front but when he dropped a bit deeper he actually showed some classy touches.

    Cardiff Match Thread

Formation and starting Swanson up front were main problems tonight. The amount of times we had 8 men behind the ball was ridiculous. We desperately need some pace in the side as well.

    Michael Smith

Judging by a statement Pressley made towards the end of last week (which I can't find anywhere and am thinking I may have dreamt) I'm sure he said something to the effect that the availability of a striker he was interested in had changed and we would be pursuing this at the start of this...

    Huddersfield after Pressley

This will be such a small market the telegraph article will have caused some money on the market. The Star have then probably ran a story based on the short odds with little knowledge. I am concerned that there has been no comment from pressley saying he is not interested.

    Huddersfield after Pressley

The ever reliable daily star claiming Huddersfield are set to make an approach. http://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/394047/Huddersfield-to-make-approach-for-Coventry-boss-Steven-Pressley

    Michael Smith

I thought from this quote we have clearly enquired about him. By all accounts Swindon are pretty skint so he will be sold to someone I suspect and probably for about £500k. I am encouraged by the fact it says offers rather than offer.

    Barton Or Thomas?

This thread already highlights why I'm amazed we aren't still looking for an old head in the centre of the park. I still wouldn't be surprised to see us back in for Diagouraga before the transfer window shuts.
