Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Well I'm not going to claim to be an expert but numerous organisations that are have been pressuring the government for years to take action and have been ignored. I tend to side with the likes of the Dogs Trust, Kennel Club, RSPCA, SPCA, British Vets Association and Blue Cross, among others...

Banning the breed will do little, we've been here before so it's just adding another breed to the list and will end up with well trained and well behaved dogs being seized and killed. Another dog will take the XL bullys place and before you know it the same discussion will be taking place about...

    Care homes

The care system is not fit for purpose in the slightest. The admin and contradictory advice is never ending. When you've got a close relative nearing the end of their life the last thing you want to be dealing with is paperwork but that takes up so much of your time It's hard to even find...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

A lot of people are putting the minimum into their pensions because they simply can't afford more. Then you just get to the lottery of will your parents assets be taken away before they are passed on to you. It really is just luck of the draw, you're hoping your parents have a decent amount of...

Who signs off on this stuff? I'm starting to wonder if the tories haven't managed to embed people into Starmers team, basic stuff seems to be so badly executed time and time again.

    Care homes

Apologies to Otis for hijacking his thread but does anyone have experience with getting a lawyer involved in funding issues. Long story short my Dad is nearly 20 months in to having 6 months maximum left and they've suddenly decided they're taking his funding away with only a couple of weeks...

    Care homes

I'd be amazed if that got queried. Think they're more after people giving away thousands, hundred quid here and there isn't going to make much difference to where you are on the scale From everything I've read its down to a pattern of behaviour. So if he's never given anyone a penny and then...

Taking your own food/drink into the CBS

At Edgbaston they encourage you to take a reusable bottle and having filling points all round the ground. Works pretty well. Was at Wembley Arena yesterday and they have the same there, although you couldn't take a bottle in but the water points all had a well stocked supply of paper cups.

Taking your own food/drink into the CBS

Always find it a bit odd how much overpriced junk people can get through in a 2 hour visit to the stadium. The point about dopes of service is true though. I’ve given up even attempting a half time cuppa remember that, didn’t they initially cancel the old boys season ticket and then it became a...

    Safe standing consultation

Surely if the council have delegated their powers and the people they have delegated the powers to can be shown to be clueless and enforcing conditions on us that no other club in the country has to deal with then those delegated powers should be removed At the very least we need some reasoning...

    Safe standing consultation

The council website seems to imply the SAG are responsible for if events get the go ahead: https://www.coventry.gov.uk/sports-safety-advisory-group/safety-sports-grounds-enforcement-policy however the health and safety executive seem to take a different view

    Safe standing consultation

Isn't the next supporters group meeting going to include a visit to the away end and concourse to explain the problems. Someone needs to print these photos out and take them along. Need a credible explanation of why it can't happen now. We're not at a point where the ground is half empty and it...

Best TV shows or movies you can recommend

Not watched the latest episode but I've enjoyed it. I'm a Star Wars fan in as much as I've seen the films but definitely not enough to have watched anything animated so when people go nuts because someone from an animated series shows up its lost on me. Enjoyed all the Star Wars series to be...

    Death of the high street

Haven't they been trying to get Wilko out of there forever as its supposed to be a restaurant quarter now. Finally get rid of them and it turns into a B&M :ROFLMAO: Hopefully that means everyone keeps their jobs

The club had a disabled supporters forum recently and are establishing a disabled supporters association with the help of Level Playing Field. Might be worth contacting Jodie Jones if you're concerned about how any safe standing plans will impact wheelchair bound supporters or that their views...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

I remember years ago watching a documentary about the local council in Walthamstow, stuck in my memory because I'd not long before that moved from there. In that area they said 8 of 10 RTB properties were with private landlords and there had only been enough new social housing built to replace 1...
