The thing is, most of our recent young stars came through to the 1st team, in an era when we were div 1 and div 2. Now they have to be good enough to break into championship football, which is much tougher, as our seasoned pros are finding....it's a big step up in quality.

QPR are very hit and miss. On a good day, they can beat anyone with their attacking style. On a bad day, they could lose to to a relegation side. Difficult to know which QPR will turn up today.

Agreed...sometimes it doesnt work out. Chelsea had both Kevin DeBruyne and Mo Salah on their books, rarely played them and presumably didnt rate them (how ??), so flogged them on. A few years later they rock up at Man City and Liverpool, and were world class.

I think he has claimed in the past that he doesn't get a salary...ie that he is not on the payroll. That doesn't mean he's not paid on a self-employed consultancy basis, or through a ltd company (with him as a director/shareholder)

Big problem for Rotherham though, is that they are playing 2 games a week (pretty much) until the end of the season...injuries could still wreck them. That being said, i do think they have been, and are a better team than Brum, who are my favourites for the 3rd relegation spot.
